I think so but I don't know if it will be today.

Who cares if it happens today, or next tour, or even, at the latest - next next one :)

What is their salary budget compared to the big names?

rogueteens 05-01-2016 10:37 AM

well, not today after all but they'll do it.

ianmoone332000 05-01-2016 12:09 PM

romeo22 05-01-2016 02:04 PM

Scott McD 05-01-2016 03:55 PM

Hopefully they finish the job off. Was a good game today. Usually don't want Chelsea to get anything but i'm hoping they get at least a draw tomorrow, and Leicester get the trophy!! :thumbsup

Nitzer Ebb 05-01-2016 04:39 PM

Ref fucked it up for foxes. Clear penalty shot not called.

you have to be kidding... mahrez ran straight into their player (daley blind I think it was?) - unless he is supposed to move out the way to give an opposing player a clear run, nothing he could do. Never a penalty... man united on the other hand, that was a penalty.

Saw the Carroll 'penalty' the other week too... another joke (though that one is part of the game these days, you have to take those ones as shit happens). Not sure why leicester have some sort of record penalties this season, but if today's supposed penalty shout is anything to go by, they are pretty clever at winning those decisions (again, if the others have been given for similar run-into-the-opposing-player-and-claim-obstruction)

Leicester City's Premier League penalty count might explain why they are top of the table - Mirror Online

I'm biased so I have to factor that in, but hmmm.... vardy is quick, but he ain't that quick :winkwink:

I'll go with commentators and post game discussion on Sky Sports. All said it was clear penalty. Sorry.

I'll go with the ref, who decided it wasn't. Sorry.

I just came in here to find out what the fuck a Leichester is.

I was even more disappointed than I thought I'd be.

Sednub997 05-02-2016 02:18 AM

I agree, no way are we going to get a result today, and even if we do, it's not going to make any difference - leicester are going to get 2 points from their last 2 games easy... the everton game is 3 points nailed on.

stephane76 05-02-2016 06:15 AM

Far from Being a Leicester fan, I am kind of glad the underdog is about the take the league. They deserve it, I hope for the Club and the fans that Mahrez and Vardie get to play together again next season.

Spuds game should be interesting today.

Stranger things had happened. Sure it is much more likely that they will get those points, but it would not be a sensation if they did not..

Scott McD 05-02-2016 11:27 AM

Got a few beers at the ready for the game tonight. Just over 30 mins to go.

Joxxy 05-02-2016 12:50 PM

Their biggest victory will come when they make a fortune by selling Vardy to United, selling Kante to PSG and selling Mahrez to Chelsea or anyone willing to pay the price on all three.

but not that :) will be better anyway for the fans... leicester to do it on their own results, and at the last home game of the season - *that's* the fairytale ending :thumbsup

mineistaken - stranger things have happened indeed, but this won't end up one of those times :)

You do realize there was 2 times already when random teams won premier league before ?

How do they compare to Lesster (sorry, Leicester sounds different for me :1orglaugh) in terms of budget (in comparison to top dogs) and in comparison to previous years results (I believe they were at the bottom or even in 2nd league not too long ago)?

seeandsee 05-02-2016 02:18 PM

5000:1 and they did it

Completely same scenario, underdogs coming out of nowhere.

Sednub997 05-02-2016 02:28 PM

nah, you're wrong on that :)

leicester were bottom of the premiership at xmas last season - no team has ever even survived the season when in that position. To follow it up by becoming champions the next season has never been done - not even close. Very unlikely to happen again in anyone here's lifetime.

closest you can come to saying 'underdogs' is blackburn, who famously 'bought' the title by spending a huge sum of money - they certainly weren't actual underdogs coming out of nowhere. I assume you also mean man city, who did the exact same thing.

Only 6 teams have ever won the premiership, including Leicester this season.

CaptainHowdy 05-02-2016 02:41 PM

I think that's the first Chelsea goal i've ever celebrated in my life :1orglaugh

I am quite sure Nottingham Forest was underdogs.

NatalieK 05-02-2016 03:13 PM

Just heard they won the Premier league, good on them, well done :thumbsup

Champions league next season :2 cents:

no need as champions... Leicester City 'could make £150m from Premier League win' - BBC News

Leicester were 5000-1 at the start of the season.

ah ok you are going back to the old 1st division... hell of a lot more of a playing field back then, even with the underdogs (eg Spurs won the FA Cup as a non-league side back in 1901, the way the game moved forward meant that was never going to happen again within a few years of evolvement, the leap/gap became too wide, as is the case with the 1st division in the 1970's, and the Premiership since it's inception)... the game/structure has changed massively since then - this is a far step beyond that :)

It really is a truly massive sporting achievement :thumbsup

They need to win next game against Everton for their fans and all those fans around the world who stay loyal to their clubs no matter what. I am very jealous of Leicester City fans today. :thumbsup

Spurs are gonna lose their last 2 and let Arsenal overtake.

Klen 05-03-2016 02:10 AM

Hopefully next year west ham takes premiership.

PornoStar69 05-03-2016 04:40 AM

Spurs bottled it lastnight against Chelsea

Leicester are like Bitcoin you invest £1 you get back £5,000.

Had a feeling at the start of the season the top 4 wouldn't win the premiership title, oh well.

LetterTwenty7 05-03-2016 05:27 AM

I liked the fact that Ranieri said that they will be fighting for the 10th place next year. Kinda realistic, maybe a bit weird, but he's an excellent football expert!

MartinCamsPower 05-04-2016 02:09 AM

Chelsea helped them to make history :)
