I haven't seen it yet. I bought my tickets last week but my showing is only this Sunday. Argh!

The last one, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, is my favourite of all of the MCU movies. I fucking love that movie.

The directors of Civil War, Anthony Russo & Joe Russo are the same directors as Winter Soldier. Awesome.

Seen it when it came out with the kids and went back and seen it with the miss last night. Makes Batman vs Superman look like a horrible dream. Roll on Avengers:Infinity Wars

Ya that was a stinker. I need to watch it again because I was so bored the first time I turned it off part way through. I like to try to give them a full viewing before i completely bash them. All I remember is stupid robots flying around.

Winter Soldier is actually kind of for grown ups. The story is smart, and it has a really cool "cold war" feeling about it. And plus you don't need to be a kid to like these movies. And alot of it is more like science fiction than "super hero". For example, Captain America is super strong thanks to an experiment in the 40's. Captain America, the Hulk and The Abonination are all related to the same experiment. Thor is a god but he's from another planet that uses a wormhole to get to Earth which is sci-fi too of course. Ant Man is pure Science Fiction. Iron Man is sci-fi too, but they do a good job of making his tech seem real. It's also really cool how they tie the stories together. Sure there's goofs but its still fun. I love the MCU.

Funny how the same "grown ups" who think these movies are beneath their intelligence level display how intellectually unsophisticated they are on a daily basis through their message board presence.

I just hope none of the characters need to inquire if the other bleeds or not.

That looks like a solid argument. Will watch "Winter Soldier" sooner or later.

Cool. Of course you may still not like it, but its worth watching. If you're up for it, watch the first one first : Captain American: The first Avenger. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) - IMDb. It's not as good but it provides some back story, etc. It's not required, just suggested.

I didn't hate Batman V Superman but it wasn't as bad as people say. I thought Ben Allleck was good but since he keeps exactly the same tone and mood thorughout the entire movie, I think they could have cast anyone else and the job would have been just as good.

It also wasn't as good as Man of Steel. In MOS, there was tons of little touches - shots of water dropping into a bucket - clothes on a cloth line, etc that seemed to bring richness to the scene and to the movie. Most of that was was missing. Wonder Woman's intro was a little soft, and intros to the other characters like The Flash seemed forced and out of place.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 5 or a 6. It was ok, but could have been better. Then again, BVS is a dark movie, and director Zak Snyder does dark movies really well. Batman is pissed off and depressed, and Superman is under appreciated and depressed. Both are conflicted too, and their problems just get worse and worse. If you like dark, then this is pretty black.

Captain America Civil War on the other hand is not dark. The comic book is dark but the movie isn't. Even when they are fighting, they aren't really trying that hard because they are still friends. Not to make it sound corny because its not, but they do crack a few jokes during the fight.

Watched it yesterday and enjoyed it very much!
