shouldn't there be a real life Batman or Ironman by now?

there's what, like a 1000 billionaires on Earth now? you'd think one of them would make some cool hi-tech weapons and shit and go be a vigilante.

Jman 05-17-2016 01:57 PM

Your TrumpMan Hero is coming my friend...

The vigilantes are usually guys out to do justice without the masks & hi tech gear, although, it would be good if we had one come along, especially an IronMan :thumbsup

If you are a billionaire you're not pretty much selfless to begin with ...

that's on account of they've all been stymied by cash flow issues.

Robert Downey Jr. Modeled His Portrayal of Tony Stark After Elon Musk, One of the Founders of Zip2, Paypal, Tesla Motors, Solar City, and SpaceX

but of course Musk is not flying around in spacesuits or whatever (haven't seen a single ironman movie yet lol)

with some of the extra flamboyance being inspired by Oracle CEO Larry Ellison.
:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Ellison could be a real life Ironman, instead he's galavanting around on a boat.

what about Richard Bransen?

they went downhill after the first Ironman, but there's a reason why that movie changed hollywood, it's a good movie. deadpool bucks the trend. it all maxed out with the avengers . now it's all derivative.

billionaires tend to be villians.

George Soros is also known as 'Vile Country Destroyer' or 'Jabba the Cunt'.

amazed Richard Branson hasn't gone down the vigilante route with his money & balls. He'd make a good IronMan :2 cents:

The wife and I walked out of the theater halfway through Captain America Civil War last Sunday.

Just seemed overly lame and formulated.

JamesM83 05-17-2016 08:27 PM

The technology in Iron Mans suit is do-able but not with that slim easy finish and design.

Couldn't get the pieces to fit, huh? Hate when that happens.

tbh, I'd have thought it is possible, the use gels & carbon fibers, making a suit to fit is possible with electronically moving tiny titanium mechanical moving parts, but you couldn't put on or lose weight :1orglaugh

Actually I wonder why some billionaire hasn't gone Super Villain. I can see a number of these money-and-power-obsessed billionaires going apeshit and wiping out entire communities of immigrants in East L.A., can't you?

I could see Donald "The Clown' Trump (that's his Super Villain name, 'The Clown') burning down Mexicans on the border with his super hair destructo lazer beam.

"You're fired! You're all fired!"

what was it you were expecting to see exactly? thought provoking dialogue? superb cinematography? a whodunnit perhaps?
