Any good virtual hosting for Blogs?

Spam me with decent virtual offers for blogs.

Some kind of Cpanel is a plus.

Cheers.

You can get a Cloud Droplet for $5 per month with either

Simple Cloud Computing, Built for Developers | DigitalOcean
or
SSD VPS Servers, Cloud Servers and Cloud Hosting by Vultr - Vultr.com

If you install Centos on those servers you can use Centos WebPanel for free.

Quick, easy and reliable.

This is for my friend who i'm trying to help get started. He won't be able to install stuff himself, so some kind of support is needed.

It's pretty simple.

1. Sign up to Digital Ocean.

2. Decide on the size of the droplet.

3. If the droplet size has 512MB of RAM then install Centos 6 - 32 Bit version -or-
3. If the droplet size has 1GB or more of RAM then install Centos 6 - 64 Bit version

4. Once the droplet is created log in to it as root.

5. Create a swap file of between 1GB and 2GB depending upon requirements use the instructions below:

https://www.digitalocean.com/communi...ap-on-centos-6

6. Reboot the server then login again as root and make sure your swap file is activated on boot by running the free command.

7. Now install Centos Web Panel using the instructions below

Installation | CentOS Web Panel

8. While Centos Web Panel is installing decide upon the domains you want to host on the server and create a Cloudflare account then add those domains. You want to point the domain's A record at the Digital Ocean server IP address. Create a CNAME record for www at the domain.

9. Change the nameserver records at your registrar to the ones provided by Cloudflare

10. Now Centos Web Panel has completed installing log in and add accounts for each domain and create a database for each blog in the account control panel.

11. Install Wordpress.

Done.

just use AWS if you are going to go through the hastle of setting up and managing your own servers, AWS as a whole offers a lot of very useful features.

I know a very simple and cheap solution for you just buy a simple droplet from DigitalOcean and you can use the free plan from ServerPilot and with a simple click you will configure your server and you'll install wordpress in just less than 5 minutes ! Very simple efficient and you no need any skills for that !

What about going straight to the source: https://wordpress.com/create/

Newbs should not be setting up droplets, trying to learn AWS, or figure out custom control panels. Keep it simple and let them create.
