"Independence Day: Resurgence" Really? What's the point?
 

Why is anybody going to see this movie?

It looks EXACTLY as the original, just without Will Smith.

I understand the "remake" concept, but this isn't a remake, IT'S A SAD CARBON COPY.

Same cast, same storyline, same effects (just beefed up a little), and without the main drawing card, Will Smith.

It's supposed to be a summer hit, but I am predicting below average to poor sales.

Why shell out $ 15 to see a movie that you can already see on tv every other weekend for free?

Bill Pullman had the balls to say "This is the begining of a franchise."

If you don't wanna go see it, then don't go see it. Its ZERO money out of your pocket if they make it or if they don't.

How many of these movies are clones of others?

All the Comic Book hero movies are similar. First they have a lone hero, then they put him with the others, now they have them fighting each other. The basic theme is the same.

Much like the last Star Wars movie and Lord of the Rings. Add, Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, the Teen Dracula movies and TV shows. And more.

I think they dropped the ball on the title. Beef it up a little with "Presidents' Day" or "Earth Day". Lol ugh.

If you like destruction porn, check out "San Adreas" with Dwayne Johnson. It's 100% pure fluffy stupidness, but it has lots and lots and lots and lots of grade-A destruction, and a hot chick.

You can argue the same thing about porn. Eventually they all end the same.
