Congrats forum Britons on your independance!!

I wonder where there any bigger media that were advocating brexit? It seemed like most of the media were controlled by globalist elite and were pushing bremain?
So lets say 90% of the media were for bremain and 10% for brexit?
And we got 52/48. Imagine if media was fare, it would have been even 60/40 or even 70/30 vote.

Oh, and tell me what you feel about people like that:

No not really. We had the Daily Telegraph, a right-leaning paper, supporting leave. The Murdoch papers went both ways - The Sun came out for leave but the Times went for remain, although I think the Sunday Times supported leave. The Guardian group newspapers supported remain. The Daily Mail and the Express both supported leave I think.

That is interesting. And Murdoch splitting the support might negate conspiracy theories (wehateporn, your opinion on this point?) that people with media power support one or another agenda. Or this could be some kind of trick :)

What about TV stations?

crockett 06-24-2016 12:42 PM

I say good for them for doing what they want, but my bet is they are cutting off their nose in spite of their face.

It's going to hurt normal people for a very very long time. Added to this travel in Europe will not be as easy as it is now..

How so? Is it difficult to travel to Norway or Switzerland? Uk was not even in Schengen zone to begin with.

I can't even read Facebook today. The number of retards on Facebook crying the sky is falling just because they are married to a European, living in London or they like to travel in Europe.
One girl even said she was going travelling but she wasn't sure they would even let her in..

I mean, really.

They will not be able to go to any EU country and live or stay past 90 days with out longer visas. Added to that once they stay 90 days they can't go back to any EU country for another 90 days.

As a EU member it was like them moving from FL to GA.. Now it would be like trying to move from FL to Canada.

When you said traveling I assumed traveling, not expating/living :)

And even I am not sure if you are correct on 90 days. Do EU citizens need visas to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland and Norway if they stay over 90 days? Norway, for example, is full of EU migrants working there, I have not heard that they needed visas.

redwhiteandblue 06-24-2016 03:17 PM

That's because Norway is in the EEA which is like being half in the EU, they get access to the single market in exchange for freedom of movement, so EU citizens can go and work/live in Norway freely.

I like Farage. It should be good for the UK but now the Surgeon says she's going to cut the artery that connects Scotland to England!

That won't be good for either side because the UK will be weaker. Scotland will then reconnect with Europe which is basically a failing state that will soon be ground zero for a serious invasion / war zone. Neither side will benefit from that.

Also, I think Trump's position on this PROVES beyond any doubt that he is not part of the establishment. He is the only major US figure in US politics to back the Brexit. I find that amazing but impressive!

We're not in the EEA. It's not certain we will join it. We could but the issue would be that we'd have to accept freedom of movement which is one of the things people voted to reject. I think we will re-join EFTA and then negotiate bi-lateral trade deals with the EU like Switzerland has done.

Murdoch was hedging his bets, he cares about people buying his newspapers, so for the working class he gave them Brexit and for the middle Remain, he gave the classes what they wanted, it was a smooth move and will benefit the sales and reader-trust of both papers for many years to come :2 cents:

Trump just does or says whatever is good for him at the time. It's a no Brainer to expect him to be pro brexit because he's anti-muslim anti-immigration.

Anyone with half a brain understands the Brexit was won by people who are tired of muslim immigrants..

Of course Trump would support that.. It was really a one issue vote and the other issues were secondary or not important at the time....

Eventually they will learn the hard way the other issues were as important as the immigration issue..

I agree, it certainly was about just one issue (over 90% anyway) and it amazes me that the talking heads on TV still don't get it. However, it had nothing to do with "muslim immigrants" per se, just excessive immigration in general which has been a major complaint for the last 20 years. You'd need to be British to know that.

Not to say that the recent events of immigration from muslim countries was not a factor.

There are many great Trade Groups that work well. NAFTA is one.

The EU is a very different organisation. It wants to be one Country. Relegating European Countries to a level of power Americans would take up arms to stop.

One Government which reigns supreme. One Supreme Court of Justice, one Currency, One migration policy, one President one taxation, spending, borrowing policy, one seat in the UN, one seat at all other International Organisations, one foreign service with one Embassy around the world, one language, one army.

You think I'm exaggerating. The green ones are already there or on their way to being in place, the yellow have to be in place to make the Euro work, the rest are yet to be achieved.

This isn't about being European. I was always that. It's about you being EUpean. It will either be done in the next 30 years or more Europeans will demand a referendum and destroy it.

Scotland will not go Independent and will not join the EU. They can't afford to. I hope I'm wrong. Because getting rid of this spendthrift would serve as a great warning to others.

This is one of the issues I agree with Trump on. The EU is not some cozy trade deal.

You must not have even half a brain.

No one in the UK cares if the surgeon operating on them is Muslim or Zulu. They care about losing their low skilled job to a migrant of any color. They care about a migrant jumping above them on the housing list, their children being taught in an oversized class of mixed languages, having to wait 3 days to get an appointment to see an Asian doctor. Colour never comes into it.

Unless you think the least contributing are a different colour.

+1.

Now we have chaos and uncertainty - the last thing any rational person wants. Already the value destruction to peoples home, pensions, savings is in full swing.

And all based on 2 very insipid lies that the Brexit campaigners have admitted were horseshit.

a) £350m a week to the EU that they will spend on the NHS.

b) 30m turks massing on the borders and the EU is inviting them in.

Both of these claims have now been dismissed as lies by the leave campaign. After the event an awful lot of leave voters are regretting the mess they have helped to create.

It seems that if you scratch the surface, push the right buttons, there is a willing camp guard lurking just below the surface.

My business is already being damaged as the currency of the adult business is USD. ALL of my costs have risen already. Traffic, servers, content, all bought in a currency which now costs considerably more. If my business is damaged my earning potential is reduced. My employees job security has been reduced and everyone takes a cautious approach to spending and investment.

Yet you buffoons witter on about the pesky muslims. Fucking halfwits.

The muslim populations in the UK arrived here in the 50's and 60's. The arseholes blowing themselves up and demanding sharia law are UK citizens, second generation Pakistani muslims. NOT recent migrants from the EU.

I never thought I would contemplate moving to Scotland !
