Brexit Yay! Silly walk off a cliff
|
The United States once had a Brexit..
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...-NYC,_1851.jpg Seems Scotland and Ireland will soon follow in our footsteps.. The UK just pulled their own plug.. It's almost as dumb as when morons in Texas want to succeed. They don't think very far into their future.. |
|
The EU is in panic mode. Trying to make sure other people don't get the idea their wishes should be paramount.
In the US big business rules. In the EU bureaucrats rule. The UK has rebelled. This is our Boston Tea Party. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...ea_Party_w.jpg |
Article 50
I hope you read Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty the UK signed with the EU This is not a revolution, it is more like a complaint for divorce and a 2 year court case before there is a Court Decree of Divorce -- with terms set. Your visitation right to visit your EU 'brothers' and the UK commercial right do business with them -- are now under negotiation and will not be finalized for 2 years. The duty free tax zone ends in 2 years. The EU free travel zone ends in 2 years. Northern Ireland and Scotland are talking deserting the UK and remaining in the EU. The GBP value may keep going down to a parity with the Dollar and the Euro. Good luck -- you will need it. Only a fool would expect London's financial center to accept the exposure. Money can flash-dance today. |
I wouldnt worry about London's City.
Do you also worry about Singapur and HongKong ? and this is what City basically can become for whole Europe, regardless if they are in EU or outside. less regulations - happier City Quote:

If we are talking smaller amounts, deposit into the UK bank then take the cash out and go to the post office currency exchange -- when I was in London they had the fairest rates on smaller amounts -- get Euros and bury them in the proverbial tin can. Paper checks have time limitations. |
Chinese financial laws and the Chinese Courts are a politicized joke. Not worth the discussion.

Everyone hates the government, until they need it for something.

52% of the people who are actually from the UK voted 'Leave'. According to crockett they are all dumb morons. Because they surely didn't research and know alot more than crockett. Do you even know the EU is not democratic? Do you know they make their own laws, and every member country has to obey it? You know, like a dictatorship? Are you this dense? |
By the way, The New Yorker is as journalistic as a love letter. Apparently they absolutely love totalitarian governments with unelected leaders stripping its people of all freedom. And this rag is probably called 'liberal', yet all their points of view are in line with fascist people (Hillary) or organisations (EU).
Looks like liberal nowadays equals fascist... I remember the days when they were actually the opposite. |
Liberal equaling fascist, wow hitler must be rolling over in his grave

Also, that knob Sturgeon hasn't considered that a break from the UK might start terrorism there too, there's a lot of protestant/catholic rivalry up there (Rangers and Celtic for example), its just currently a bit more good natured but could change. Also don't forget that almost 40% did vote to leave in Scotland, a minority but still a sizable chunk in anyone's book. |
