England humiliated twice in a week.
One of my worst week as a Brit :(
I still support England, even though I've been in the US for 35+ years, and I have to admit I laughed after Iceland scored their second goal. I knew how it was going to end... just wished I'd put some money on the game.
They were horrible. Spiritless team. No heart no passion.

I live in a part of Spain with lots of English - All they do is talk about football ATM - Not one word today - We can get back to normal at last...
Enough with Rooney, get him out. Also Hodgson has to go, everyone on the planet wanted Rashford and Vardy in sooner. Yet he still plays aaaary Kane who was shit this entire tournament.
the Brits also have the new Top Gear to be ashamed of:(

I'm late to the party, but I DVR'd the game and had to get caught up. Just finished watching it.
That was probably the worst England game I've ever seen. I quit counting how many crosses were off their target by at least 10 feet. That team had absolutely no cohesion at all. |

No one in the team was very good. The lack of talent was shown when the prime goal scorers were relegated to taking corners and free kicks from the wings. The lack of being able to pass a ball forward that cut through packed defences was abysmal. Yes, they had possession, it rarely amounted to much. Yes they had a lot of shots, that didn't amount to much. Review the goals other teams score against packed defences. Either a great through ball, a cross to a centre forward or fluke. I would have played Vardy or Andy Carrol at the front, at a push both with Vardy feeding off Carrol. Then find a player who can play long accurate balls to these forwards with other running in to back them up. The problem is finding English players who can pass or cross a long ball. Certainly, no one in Monday night's side it capable. Most struggle to taker a corner with any accuracy. |

Things will turn around for England, but I'm pretty sure their football team won't win anything anytime soon.
