Marketing/Traffic for my paysite
 

I sold my paysite in 2009. The buyers never updated over the years and didn't even have billing for a long time.

I ended up getting it back from them and added a few updates and have a bunch more ready to add to the site. The content is all original and there is a pretty good size library.

I need to get some marketing and traffic going. What's working nowadays? Any suggestions? I think I might need a design update too.

Is your website responsive? If not, then you will need one responsive theme. It is 2016 and most of surfers use moblie devices to surf the internet. Do you have an affiliate prorgram? You can put your link in the signature so webmasters can joinin.

I've contacted Zuzana Designs about updating the design and making it responsive.

I have a CCBill affiliate program but it needs to be updated too. Webmasters can join but I need to supply more up to date galleries. Are thumb galleries still the way to go?

I'm interested in some media buys too. I used to do paid gallery placements on thehun but I assume there must be many new options.

yeah, things have changed a lot since when you first had that site originally. The hun is still around of course but now there's so much more.

Look into having your site listed on directories, very easy to do. Will it bring a lot of traffic? Can't say but at least it'll start building a backlink profile for you in the search engines.

Submit your site for reviews, again, good way to build backlinks and of course a good review can send some traffic your way.

You might even think about throwing your watermark on a few clips and uploading them to some tubes. You first thought might be the bigger ones, but maybe the smaller more niche ones might be a better fit.

As i own a directory (several) The proper directories won't help a paysites seo, because it will be with an affiliate link the links will be nofollow, so it will not benefit your sites backlink profile.

For traffic, daily traffic to each paysite ranges from 10-5000 (our sites, no popups), depending on the quality/look of your site and the conversion

Don't expect to just get listed though, we get like 10 mails daily of (pay)sites wanting to be added. Don't send mass mails either, the moment we notice someone didn't even bother to read our faq the chance you will get listed just took a huge nose dive.

Lastly, while ccbill is usefull we usually prefer sites that have their own program (because of the limited data ccbill shows), data is everything and when 1 site has ccbill and another has a program that does provide indepth data the last one will get listed sooner/higher
