CNN is reporting that Trump has asked Pence to be his VP and he has accepted.

Anderson Cooper just said this on CNN but it's been a bit over taken by the news out of France....

I know nothing about this guy so I assume it is a "safe" choice.

He is well-connected and highly regarded within republican circles and evangelical voters. To me, his weakness is that he signed the anti-gay law in Indiana then when bashed for it didn't do a very good job defending it or himself. I have a feeling Clinton will be more than willing to point out his support of this law as a way to attract young voters.

With Pence as VP, Trump just lost the LGBT vote (as if he had it already).

The real reason why Pence was picked is because of his relationship with the Koch Brothers. Mike Pence's Koch advantage - POLITICO . Trump now has access to all that gooey, sticky Koch dough.

Pence also supported the Iraq War (Trump supported it too but now comes out against it). And for some reason, Pence thought Canada had something to do with al Qaeda, but I don't remember what exactly.

Oh right and he's anti-evolution. Sigh...

Trump's VP choice just guaranteed a pretty significant young voter turn out.

This is how politics works.... You know Clinton's people had a list of Trump't potential VP picks, and they loaded up with ammo so they could open fire the moment he made his announcement. This is one of the huge differences between Trump and Clinton's campaign. Clinton's knows what she is doing here, and has the right staff behind her. Trump seems to think he can capitalize on free press, but I am seeing all Clinton ads online and TV - Nothing for Trump.

I honestly can't say I like Trump, but I'm not blind to the world being destroyed right now under our current leaders. Russia, North Korea, China, and now civil unrest all brewing. All of this while the economies have crashed in many countries. We are in a global recession. The outlook looks gloom no matter who wins.
