Verizon will cut off unlimited data users who use too much unlimited data

Verizon is forcing heavy data users to get off its unlimited plan or get off the carrier's network entirely.

Defeats the purpose of unlimited. Wonder if they will be sued.

We had an unlimited data plan with Verizon. I have a kid, and having limited data sucks.

Data usage is intermittent when on unlimited plan. They simply throttle your usage.

I hate these fucking cunts, hook you with a promise of unlimited then cry like fucking babes when people start to use it. They have no issues taking your money, god forbid you actually use the bandwidth :321GFY

Why shouldn't someone who uses something more, pay more?

Because they have a legal contract with their carrier to pay a set amount for unlimited data?

Why shouldn't a multi billion dollar business honor a handful of contracts it made for unlimited data for consumers? Oh because they're greedy and want to squeeze every fucking person they can for every penny possible.

They should honour their contracts. Then they should stop offering excessive users that contract.

Yes we all want to maximise profits.

Its called a Fair usage policy.. And its pretty normal, most hosting companies have them.

If you go above and beyond a fair usage policy you are really, really using up a lot of bandwidth on a continuous base. Much more than a normal person would use..
like people who have a couple of servers at home and are just downloading all day 24hours a day for weeks on end, , and uploading to their 50 friends at the same time..

Unlimited should be unlimited but if everyone would use internet like that than we would all have bandwidth issues

So why not set up an actual limit instead of lying about unlimited?
That is what sounds dishonest.
