I am guessing it is just a matter of time before people learn to advertise on this somehow or monetize it. The map guys are getting huge pay views.

is it still popular? I think it will get old very fast

Still very popular, much more popular than Ingress, the previous game the same company made with the same tech.

Being from the nerdist age of the Pokemon (huge fan when I was in elementary), the nostalgia factor for my age group is nuts. And yes, I've gone on Pokewalks myself. Southern California is lit with this kind of activity now, especially at Santa Monica Pier. It's not uncommon for people to crowd the beach and pier until 3 - 4am nightly, just for the game.

With all the updates coming, I don't see it dying out very fast...

We got some pokemon offers build which are being pushed already.

they are racking up big $$$ considering it's not yet released in Asian countries.

My girlfriend and I almost got hit by a car today. Neither us or the driver were playing Pokemon Go. Just felt like sharing. Fun game tho, got 62 so far.

Its live in Japan now. People are playing it everywhere.

Phone companies share are definitely going to rise up because of extensive use and high data usage.

WTF? This is the concern? The news in our country is out of control. Watch out for "rain slicked roads" and Pokemon Go.

I think they have an API so people can make new stuff and get data. It would be cool to know where I caught stuff so that is an idea. The guys hacking the data to create stat pages etc seem to be getting traffic. I love when something comes out of nowhere and just blows up.
The best part is it seems to be good for humanity in that we have to go outside and walk. Except for the Fox news watchers who are now afraid for the kids walking in public spaces as it is dangerous.
I wonder if copying those stats pages and making them in another language that isn't released yet has merit?

What do you guys think about claims that the CIA is using Pokemon to spy on us, etc? Serious question.

A restaurant I go to sometimes has a pokemon stop right out front so they have a big ad outside saying you can access the pokestop from inside. I have also gotten a few emails from companies piggybacking Pokemon Go success for their own marketing like so

A local guy is offering on facebook to drive kids around in his vehicle so they can catch pokemon. I think he is charging $10 a kid. What kind of parent would let their kids go with this guy? Lol

I hate how everything these days is a craze.

Only because everyone is sheep that things become a "craze"...

Things could've totally been crazes before, but now we have more means to share it. Making something popular or bringing awareness to it takes a lot less than it did before IMO.
