The older ones were. The ones made after 1965 had a different suspension and didn't have that problem.

I had one in the early 90's a 1966 convertible. I loved that car. The engine blew and I decided that I didn't want to put the money into rebuilding it so I got rid of it and got something else. Now I wish I still had it.
