The problem with UK and USA political parties

I am a vegetarian (trying to be vegan).

As a child I have been interested in animal rights and the environment, so in truth I probably wave towards the UK green party.

BUT......

I am also (as you can tell) pro porn. I am I believe a libertarian. By this I believe everything should be legal unless it harms others or animals. So even though I am against drug use (I do not drink or smoke), I believe as long as you know the risks, you should be able to take whatever drugs you wish, and if they kill you, well it was your choice.

Clearly I believe that porn should be free to access and not be censored. In fact I do not believe that this 'porn' problem that we keep talking about even exists except in our imaginations. I have yet to find one person who has died from watching porn, yet millions die from smoking, drinking, and even getting dressed.

So this is my problem with both UK and USA politics.

The Conservative Party (or Republican Party)hashould be I would suggest be the liberal party. By this a party that not only believes in low tax, less government intervention, but also freedoms for people. And so you would expect them to be pro gay and anti censorship.

Yet both the USA and UKhaConservative Party (or Republican Party) both appear to be not liberal and be pro censorship, and both seem to want to bow down to the christian voters (as in the christian anti porn lot) and seek to censer the internet porn, in some bizarre notion it will protect children from some non existent threat. In truth there is more chance of an alien attack on earth from Mars this year than there is any one being harmed by porn.

On the other side in the UK we have Labour. Who seem to have a policy of banning everything. Even to the extent of making thoughts and views a crime.

In today's crazy world you go to prison for several years for several years for saying sending ahanastyhamessage to someone on twitter (even though twitter lets you block people), yet you get a telling off if you beat someone up.

To the morons who get ever so upset by twitter messages and feel the need to call the police and have people sent to prison, let me help you out. All you need do is go to there twitter page.Click on 'block', and that's it. Job done, move on with your life. Or even better if you are so pathetic that you cannot cope, go to your profile setting, click on 'settings', then click on 'Deactivate my account' and come off the internet, as clearly its not for you.

But that is getting off subject.

The point is, no party is in line with my views. In fact considering the majority of people in both UK and USA are pro porn, it makes you wonder why the political parties think its a good idea to ban it.

In the USA, I noticed a lot of Trump supporters are pro gun and pro Christianity. But oddly anti porn (or at least they are in public, chances are they watch it too but just claim to be against it when on TV). But this is odd as then they become selective in peoples freedoms.

In today's world porn is now mainstream, and not a dirty secret. A few years ago it was common to make out that those who looked at porn were perverts, or dirty old men in rain coats. But today both men and women openly talk about how they enjoy porn. And yes, its now the norm for women to say they enjoy porn.

Politically porn has created problems as its left some not knowing what the stance they should take should be. For instance it was the comfortable position of those who labeled themselves as feminists (why they were not wanting to see themselves as equal rights, has often baffled me), to be anti porn. It was an easy position to have. The argument was easy, men made porn, subjected and degraded women, thus porn was bad. In truth most had never seen porn or talked to anyone in porn, but simply presumed. This has carried on for years. Some will even make up extra bits to lock onto this argument such as suggest porn makes men rape, porn makes men kill. The list goes on, and often you can make up any rubishhayou wish, because rather than looking at the facts, the story fits into a comfortable position, that can be re-told over and over. Very much like racists make up stories to fit there beliefs.

However the problem that feminists (and others) face is that women are making porn as well as men. Women are watching porn, as well as men. Those women who are porn actors are often well educated and are doing it because they enjoy sex, and not because they are poor and need the money. Many do it as they enjoy people seeing them nude. But many also have other jobs, including being teachers and nurses. These days the majority of those who make porn or women. They do webcam shows and work for themselves. Thus the feminist argument thathaporn is made by men no longer applies. The women who are in the films are confident and in many cases use the money they make to set up there own businesses (not always porn related).

While there are a few who still hold this anti porn feminist belief, in truth the numbers are so few, that it would be hard to even find any female in the UK who still holds these 1970's views. The small handful who still believe this often do as its somthing they feel they need to believe.

Yet we see the BBC and many other stations put out vast nude content in many of there shows, with often less complaints than I have fingers on my hand.

Many women even declare themselves as feminists because they are in porn, or because they enjoy porn. The new argument being that women and men should have the same rights as each other. Thus women should have the right to be in porn or make porn. In fact the irony is that you have a situation where some women are now telling other women what they can and cannot do with there bodies.

One aspect of porn in today's world is that because anyone can make it (just go on a webcam site and set up an account), it has meant that women of all shapes and sizes now have confidence to be who they are. For many women porn has liberated them.

One recent example was a new dating show on UK's CH4. Everyone is naked. One girl who was attractive but chubby stated she has always had sex in the dark. But being naked like this had given her confidence. Just being naked had changed her life.

Again you could suggest that some feminists tell women that they should feel bad about being attractive. They seem to suggest that by being attractive is in itself degrading. Thus having low self esteem about how you feel is a good thing?

We also see there other great problem. Many women have made a huge amount of money from porn. They have succeeded. On UK's 'Big Brother' we have one girl from Yorkshire who is a millionaire because of porn. While these feminists would say that's wrong, what would they suggest she had done instead? Stay on the dole? They do not have an alternative plan.

After you've taken the step of becoming a vegan, can you do us all the favour of taking the next step and just stop eating altogether?
