on a man-to-man basis, this forum proves its bullshit. the left wing GFY gives punches as good as they get.

the devil is the media & education establishments, they are infected with radical liberalism & have distorted things to where extremist ideas are portrayed as mainstream. they are the ones telling the world about microagressions & safe spaces & fake racism. theres been a lot of fake race claims at college this past year. its all bullshit, a group of lemmings ginned up by the left. some of them now murder cops.

& the left wing thugs tearing down trump rallies, assaulting trump supporters, are not soft. illegal immigrants & superpredators, the democrat base, are not soft.

Somebody needs it to be that way, PC is being implemented and everything is "offensive".

Black Lives Matter Leader Says Even Great People Can Be Part of the Problem

this is an example of the liberal media, taking an extremist, & attempting to mainstream her.

Quote:

But racism is a set of interlocking dynamics: One in three black men can expect to spend some time incarcerated; women are the fastest-growing population in prisons and jails?and 30 percent are black; black folks are on the low-earning end of the economy.
this is not a reasonable comment. it is insane to blame society for what black people do with their time. to call society racist. this is the weak bullshit being mainstreamed by the liberal media.

If you were alive in the USA 50 years ago you would not be saying this.

"Making America's Future Great" would be a much better motto for a candidate.
Rolling back the hands of time to what was is an impossibility :2 cents:

I don't think it used to be great. I think the nostalgia makes people think it was great. Most people who say it used to be great were either too young or not born in those times. So they get all their false nostalgia from television and pictures.

What about salaries relative to value/inflation etc, purchasing power etc?

Who are "your people"? I'd like to give your country a purity test. What country are you a citizen of and what country do you live in? I bet the people there are perfect in so many ways. I bet your politicians and laws never scare people and I bet there's no crime, abuse or murder of anyone. What country are you in?

The USA is doing ok if it can foster companies like Space X who can launch a rocket to space and land it again!

So much American innovation has been stolen and resold by Russia & China, solar, windmills, hard goods, etc. Its like the thieves in adult, make your living off theft & the creators you steal from stop creating, causing recession, continuous never-ending pattern of decline.

Yeah, we suffer the same here - the Chinese hacked into Codan and stole radio plans.

But seriously the USA fosters some impressive stuff.

Apple. Biggest company on the planet.
Space X. Can launch a rocket to space and land it vertically back down again.
Google. Can crawl the entire web in a day.
Facebook. The biggest trove of personal data in the world.
Paypal. Used for Payments almost everywhere.
Microsoft. XBox consoles in every home.

The innovation and invention that comes from the USA is only seconded by the UK and Australia and both the UK and Australia export their technologies to be commercialised by US based companies.

So I reckon the USA spawns great stuff. However it also spawns Scientologists and Mormons - so there's good and bad. But look at all the stuff the world wouldn't have if the USA wasn't like it is.

mineistaken 08-04-2016 09:23 AM

^^ do not forget that most of the top people were taken by US from other countries?
Like the dude who went to moon was German, Elon was South African etc etc.

Rochard 08-04-2016 09:26 AM

I think America is still great. I think it's always been great. I think Americans are fucking spoiled.

We have 5% unemployment and every last one of us is carrying around a thousand dollar computer in their pocket that has more computing power than NASA used to get to the moon.

#firstworldproblems.

you are right, those are worse right now for sure. but the problem is none of those things are a partisan issue. That means neither party is to blame for this, it is a group effort from both sides that have gotten them there. Not only that but neither side can fix it in one term or even two no matter who gets elected.

The sooner you realize this the less people will think you are an idiot.

My father made good money $12,000
https://www2.census.gov/prod2/popscan/p60-051.pdf

Median US wage per individual was $6,900

A new median priced auto was about $3,000 as I remember
A median priced home in the area where I lived maybe $18 -$20,000

So, life was not a picnic and if you had 2 vehicles in your family, and your Mom didn't work, you were pretty well off. Color TV had just come out and a new color TV cost like $800 -- a King's ransom for most of us. My neighbor owned a swank Italian Restaurant with his brother -- he had a color TV -- some Sunday nights I would go to Mike and Kelly's house to watch the "Wonderful World of Disney" tv show -- one of the first in FULL COLOR (*something we expect for granted today).

I am better off than my father was adjusted for inflation. My house is paid for and on an acre and twice the size -- his had 20 years left on the mortgage was on a 1/4 acre lot.
I am 18 years older -- my dad died at 43 from a heart attack -- a bypass or stents may have prolonged his life -- back in 1967 that was not possible .
My dad was a blue collar trade labor most of the time -- a machine builder and a tool and die maker. I am skilled "high tech" management. I have traveled in most the US and a good part of Europe primarily -- my dad got to go to Europe with the Army as a NCO (non-commissioned officer) for WW2, if you call that a vacation ...
I have had 2 or 3 vehicles for almost 30 years.

America has been great to me but I had a hard time during the recessions of the 1970s and 1980s. Was that when America was great -- that was the beginning of the downfall of the low skilled and high paid jobs :2 cents: I have done OK in the last 13 years in spite of the Great Recession but I worked hard to get ahead those years -- and had the opportunity -- I know a lot of people didn't but that is the way the cookie crumbles -- I recall 1979 and 1981 -- times were tough.

I do miss that show.

Remember when Republicans said Michelle Obama showing her arms was too racy & tore her down for saying "I'm finally pried to be American"?

NOW

The nominees wife did lesbian nudes. GOP is silent & their platform includes a war on pornography.

GOP thinks America is not great, motto is "Make America great again"

GOP are officially pathological immoral hypocrites
