According to CCTV, a man named Alexander Pieter Cirk, 41, flew from the Netherlands to China to meet his girlfriend of two months (only identified as Zhang) whom he'd met online. She wasn't there when he arrived, so he waited, and waited, and waited ? until he was transported to a hospital for looking frail from waiting.

I bet you could live at most decent sized airports and nobody would know. They are usually open all night long for late flights, early flights, etc.

Once I had a flight from Gatwick (UK) at 5 am, came in at 11 pm. After an hour or so chilling near arrivals area security came to me, asked for docs etc. Maybe ebcause I was hanging near arrival gates after all of the flights were done :)

Of course Gatwick is much smaller than Beijing.
