Who uses LinkedIn?

I have always thought that LinkedIn is the more serious Facebook. The very business oriented type of social platform where you can share without the kittens.

I visit a few times a week and this morning is occurs to me the poor choice so many people make with their profile picture display. Unless they seriously don't care, why use a profile pic that conveys unprofessional or outright idiocy? Some don't know any better? :error

Was wondering too about it a while back.

I guess you are right, most don't know any better.
But the attention whores that constantly post selfies on fb probably find it hard to stay professional on Linkedin .

I see more and more political posts and the answer if you are a genius type posts that do not belong on this network nowadays

I used LinkedIn and a lot of business for my non-adult company is generated by referrals and word of mouth contacts on the platform.

not using LinkedIn for now :S

_Richard_ 08-10-2016 03:17 AM

i do, use a general business casual profile.. i find there is so many people everywhere using the service, it's hard getting that banker cookie cutter look

Use it for the non-adult business sectors we are involved with

used to use it 3-4 years ago for a year or so.. For me it was not worth it. If people really need you, they will find you ;)

For adult i prefer xbiz anyway.

It hit a big boom 3-4 years ago, everyone was pushing it. They somehow messed that up because people aren't focusing on it any more. Seems like FB is stronger again. LinkedIn mostly spam now.

I use Linked in an buy advertising from them, what are your questions exactly? and yes I generate leads with it.

Ferus 08-10-2016 08:45 AM

I use it several time daily, and it generates a fair amount of leads to my company (nonadult)

wehateporn 08-10-2016 08:50 AM

Still on Friends Reunited and Windows 95 over here, all good

j3rkules 08-10-2016 08:54 AM

If you use it in the right way, you can generate a great amount.

Can't say I agree. LinkedIn still seems very busy to me.

My question was who is using it, and your thoughts on how people use (what I perceive as) unprofessional profile images.

The lowest denominator of e-whoring, they are traying to attract connections like that.... they try to apply the same techniques to drive sales from the adult world into a B2B environment, laughable to say the least.

I believe you are right, and that many do that. On the other hand, I think some people just don't know how to properly conduct themselves in a professional manner.

not using it, getting all kinds of worthless spam, friend requests etc ...... meh ...:2 cents:

Getfifi Robert 08-10-2016 10:53 AM

I use it. I try not to bother people on it. It's only if it's totally impossible to find them anywhere else.

adultmobile 08-10-2016 02:37 PM

Linkedin is cool for non-adult business, especially if you like to do espionage on your competitor's contacts. If you do adult only it is not worth.

Spunky 08-10-2016 02:43 PM

I use it for work prospects. A good tool
