pretty awesome, but expensive for start and altough its not necessary to buy it from them, you can replicate most parts using 3d printer.,

i wish i had time to mess with it and scale it to handle crops in couple of acres.

You can, but it will take a lot of time I think.. This thingy is for people who got enough money, but dont have enough time to shit around with plants :)

Yeah, but if you can afford that, you can afford to buy your food fresh and organic from a shop... I cant really see the advantage?

You can, but what if you want it super fresh from your own garden? Or maybe some people dont believe in BIO etc..
