Was In Living Color really funny back in the day?
 

Or was it just funny because it was different and edgy at the time it came out? I've been watching some full episodes and while there are some sketches that are always hilarious (Hey Mon, Homeboy Shopping Network, Men on Film, Homey) most of the others are pretty lame. Anyone else remember the show?

I don't know if it would hold up so well these days. Product of the time it happened in, and was one of my favorite shows.

Yeah, In Living Color was great for it's day.

i'd imagine its quite dated but i loved it back when it was on, at least the first couple seasons.

I think my favorite was always Hey Mon.

The first few seasons were great. Definitely a product of the times, though. It was pushing boundaries for sure.

I remember Jim Carrey doing White White Baby, but that's about it..

just like snl it was a gateway to stars! i still watch it now and then

These days we get shit like Homo The Clown and theres several of them on all the networks.

Jim Carrey got his start there - he was funny as shit. Homey the clown was great, with his one pickle. I used to stay up to watch it.

I've contemplated why that one pickle is so funny. It looks vaguely obscene, and it is absurd to carry a whole pickle jar for one pickle. Those guys had genuine talent.

ya it was one of those funny shows for back in the day but today wouldn't last a season sorta like the show Hee Haw or whatever it was called..

It was a great show and funny as hell.
