Don't get me wrong... Teslas are nice.... And they might be faster.... But you just cant put Tesla in the same category as Ferrari. I had a Mustang Cobra that was faster than my friend's Ferrari, but at the end of the day... He drove a Ferrari and I didn't. Speed alone does not make a car.

With that said, I can see myself owning a Tesla. It would have to be a SUV though.

now if they can just build teslas that dont set themselves on fire, or kill their drivers.

Yeah I'm with you on that. The Tesla's are great, but it's still not even close to the same league as a Ferrari or a Lamborghini. Completely different markets but still...

The fact that a STARTUP is making this much noise and being spoken in the same sentence as these car legends is insane

Tesla is the only American made car I would ever buy. Every other car made in USA that is a so called sports/performance car, is a piece of shit. EU cars are far superior to them in every way.

Camaro, Mustang, Corvette... all of them are really shitty cars.

I might consider ordering one - when they make it sound like a 427 AC Shelby Cobra.

The Teslas are beautiful cars.

Mercedes makes a car that is faster than some some Ferraris and Lamborghinis. But that doesn't make them a Ferrari or a Lamborghini.

I would love to plan my next trip around charging locations.

Actually, that would turn me off from buying one. One of the cool things about EV's is that they are virtually silent.

I get the whole romance with sound of a gasoline engine thing, but if you think about it, it doesn't really bring anything to the car. It "sounds cool", but sounds cool only to you, and to some other dudes. If you have a loud exhaust, all that really does is piss off everyone else on your street. Also, noise is really energy wasted.

Don't kill me - I get it - the sound is the personality of the car, and there's alot of time and money spent to get that sound "just right". But so what. It's old, its wasteful, its expensive, its annoying. Silent is better.

"startup" isn't the most appropriate term for it... they are a 13 year old company with 30B market cap... so not that surprising they are able to compete with Ferrari, a 9B market cap company....

Awesome. More environmentally unfriendly toys for the rich to brag about to their rich friends to see who has the "fastest car". Whoopee. Congrats to all those who can afford to participate.
