Burkini ban lifted in France by a French High court

After massive media push, the French courts overturned the ruling in the French Riviera town in the south of France called Villeneuve-Loubet.

French Court Overturns Controversial Burkini Ban

Laws can be changed using media & people as one :2 cents:

I would have thought they banned them due to the amount of problems they've had in their country with terrorism...

but yes, damn stupid, public should be able to wear anything apart from maybe covering your face with helmets & the usual laws :thumbsup

notinmybackyard 08-26-2016 02:23 PM

Only the French would be so stupid as to try and create a national dress code.

Francophones can be some of the most racist fuckers on the planet and they practice their version of it with a polite shit eating smile. (je suis fracophone)

well the poor country has been hit the most with ISIS... and hey, it's ok for Trump to say, no Muslims in my country. Can't have it both ways :2 cents:

I've lived in France and I'll be the first person to say that the reason they're getting their asses kicked is because of the unique brand of racism they practice. If the United States racists are "hot" with examples being of the kkk, lynchings, etc then francophone racism is brutally cold and polite.

Francophone cultures use bureaucracy, unfair laws that favor only someone "de souche" and promote, if possible, only francophones to positions of authority in both government and businesses. They make it hard for a non-francophones to become francophones and even take steps to negate the power of financial wealth to buy business or government influence.

It's a sad fact to say but in France even money can't necessarily buy someone of Algerian decent "Liberté, égalité, et fraternité."

When someone with more than enough money to buy their way out of a ghetto and the system politely refuses their money (with a ton of excuses and justifications...) Then sooner or later they're going to become so angry that they become candidates for radical extremist groups.

This would be a good look for Gary/Natalie.

I've not lived in France but spent much time there, Paris, north Paris is now very much black orientated, I cannot see how racism even comes across in France :2 cents:

Saint Dennis (Northern Paris) is a ghetto.

Try renting an apartement, opening a bank account, applying for a job, etc in France and you'll see for yourself how racist it can be. I'm Québécois and the French call us their "cousins" and I was treated with that polite go-away smile more than I was treated with fairness. I imagine how hell it must be for Blacks, Arabs and the Roms en France.

"Nearly two out of three people in France oppose the burkini while just over one person in 20 approves of the controversial garment according to a new poll.

Overall, 64 per cent of people in France disapprove of the full body swimsuit while just 6 per cent voiced their support for it according to the poll for Le Figaro.

While 30 per cent of respondents to the Ifop survey said they are ?indifferent? to the Islamic swimwear, opposition to the garment crosses party lines. Among different age groups, however, views on the burkini strongly differ ? younger cohorts are much more likely to favour the Muslim swimwear."

Interesting stuff, yes, it was through Saint Dennis on the train that we noticed the amount of black people...

Wow, so this is a very fresh look you've given me for the French & France. I'm gob smacked & open mouthed not knowing what to say if this is the way of France. Sorry to hear this is how you feel & how they are to you & other colored people.

Wondering why they communicate to well to the British, so many Brits feel the same as I do & I can only say how it's been a pleasure to stay in France & stay in the country with what I felt was friendly French open people :helpme :Oh crap

that's a massive percentage. Although, if stats are to go by, 60% of Britain wanted out & most of that percentage wanted out because they thought the immigrants & Muslims would be outed from the country.

Seems over half the populations of Europe could feel the same about color, clothes & looks. Maybe there's still a huge amount of racism in lots of people, nearly over half the populations :2 cents:

Being a tourist is very different from actually living there.

Just try to open a bank account with a lousy 200euro cash and watch how quickly they'll give you the "polite" requests for paperwork on how you got the money. It's always that polite smile and gentle manners that they use to say "go fuck yourself."

You'll also notice that the vast majority of people dressed in green washing the streets and picking up the garbage are all Arabs and Africans.

ahhh hang on...

that's just different laws and banking.

We have the same here in Spain!

Anything over a few hundred and the bank has forms & we even have phone calls or emails from the bank asking where the money came from.

It's anti fraud and these countries have major drugs problems, tax and other washing of money.

Personally, we sit back & understand it... it happens to their own also :thumbsup

That's what should be outlawed. The media will publish an anti-Muslim article around terrorism time, but then soften their readership up with a succession of pro-Muslim articles thereafter.

Ban the narrative!

Solve a bet for us - did the 'winner' of the beef curtain raffle have to strap a two-by-four to his ankles?

you really are a dick head. The sort of guy that most women just don't pay attention to in a bar or restaurant.

OK, i'll amuse you...

if I run a raffle, considering people visit me for 2night mini breaks for $1000, then obviously they wouldn't have any thing strapped to them.

All normal "men" like big pussy lips & only little boys like you troll women like me because it makes you feel better about your penis size...

I've said before, don't worry SK, someone will enjoy being with a guy with a little penis, as long as you can grow up a little mentally :thumbsup

They shouldn't ban it, because then govt will start banning everything.

Find a way to encourage full frontal nudity.

Also, put a drone in the sky that has a magnifying glass and point it at the people in burkinis, that will make them extra hot and they'll either strip or go home.
