all jokes aside, when I hear others proudly proclaim there is no G-D I immediately think 'what a fuckin boob!' :1orglaugh no shit and here's why:

the sharpest guys on plant earth have figured out about 4.7% of reality give or take whichever group of geeks you chat with. these very same geeks have no idea what gravity is although the actions of the aspects of gravity we experience are well documented. think of that in these terms: when you go to the DR. only 4.7% of you is being examined. combine that with the 40%+ of your subconscious that you lack awareness of and ... whole lots of shit going on you, or even the smartest geeks, have absolutely no idea about.

I would say ancient peoples knew even less about reality than we do currently. maybe 3%? who knows....so your "proof" of the non existent of G_D using Hebrew physics and mythology compared to modern physics and social morphology is well... arrogant at best. maybe you would like to disprove electricity while you are at it?

I personally accept the reality of a system that allows me access to areas you might be denying to yourself. I have no idea. I would hope that your life is as amazing as mine is. prayer does work, prayer works most excellently in every instance... try it sometimes. offer up prayer of gratitude, oh I'm sorry, you are not grateful for what you have?

And prayer has the absolute ability to change human relationships. there is no doubt about it and I can even prove that to you. start praying for some one you detest. pray that they find love and happiness and success. do that twice a day in earnest, see how you change. see how your relationships change.

Where did you get your information about what I think from?

Everything is made of carbon, we are far from figuring everything out. But what we do know is enough to know there's no "supreme being" behind Earth's creation.

If I said god created our world and our universe and you just heard about the idea of god today, would you believe me or call me crazy and delusional? The first person to create god would be that person.

I don't have all the answers to why we are here, but neither has anybody ever been able to answer that. Creating a god seems like a simple scapegoat. Honestly I've always hoped there was a higher power to give life meaning. But as of now, we simple humans will never know. Maybe in a few thousand more years give or take.

Well whatever that answer would be, hopefully it's an answer worth waiting for :thumbsup

Could it be that God has nothing to do with that and that it has everything to do with personal change? Of course everything changes if you decide for yourself to change (change perspective; change behavoir towards other people, etc). The question "why" is not relevant. It is an infantile human concept. People should not ask themselfs "why are we here" but start asking themselfs why they ask themself "why are we here". The big empty meaningless of live is, for some people, a reason to search for something to belief in and live accordingly. these are good points... who's G_D is more powerful or more real has always been settled with war... you win, better G_D... simple.

and here is the reality for me: it is impossible for a man to understand the mind of G_D, so I need to make up an answer right away? then convince everyone it's true so I can sleep better? the concept of G_D has always been embedded in man, and I have never visualized G_D as a person... in fact I have no visualization of a G_D. never have. felt G_D around since I was a little kid. that's just how it is for me. I certainly don't visualize a Greek or Hebrew G_D, which apparently many do and find it objectionable.

like having perfect pitch or something. just because you don't have perfect pitch doesn't mean not it's true. and if someone with perfect pitch tells you they can do miracles, they are lying to you. I think of G_D more in terms of possibilities and allowances that I can interact with, and honestly I never consider the nature of G_D, although that's pretty big business.

and I agree only time will tell. seems a bit arrogant to me with only 4.7% of the information available to make statements like there is no G_D.
