Note the spelling error and the date of birth.

Obviously it's a hoax - I heard him in a live radio interview just a few hours ago.

The Gene Wilder story apparently wasn't a hoax, but actually a story circulated by someone who knew he was in the final stages of palliative care.

some one began a hoax on facebook, saying Gene Wilder had passed away on the Saturday, then it was the Sunday he actually passed away. Either coincidence or maybe trauma from the hoax.
