Finally, something good from China..

It's about time the little fucks did something interesting instead of just stealing everyone's work. I'm sure with out a doubt half the shit they use for this project will be stolen ideas and tech, but hell at least they are trying something adventurous.

China Is Planning a Massive Sea Lab 10,000 Feet Underwater - Bloomberg

They are going to build a deep sea lab for permanent habitation, something that humans should have done years ago.. It's by far the best way to prepare for long term habitation of other planets and a great way to study ours..

Now when is someone building a mother fucking moon base?

Sarn 09-06-2016 11:50 AM

if all will continue like today our generation, not will see moon base

transparent aluminum will make things more realistic with this and in space going forward. It needs to be made cheap still though.

Personally, I think it's a mistake to overlook the moon and to concentrate so much on Mars. I realize the guys working on this shit are smarter than any of us, but just seems like the moon is a more first logical step for space habitation vs Mars.

Added bonus, the moon would be a better spring board to get to Mars vs the Earth. They could stock pile supplies on the moon with many shorter trip and then launch those items to Mars with out trying to deal with Earth's gravity and a big heavy load.

Good idea...BUT...to do so we would need to have the first moon landing. :1orglaugh

China has the worlds fastest supercomputers built with all china designed chips...50% of the worlds supercomputing power is in china...

Developing anything in china is 10x cheaper...or in india as the first indian mission to mars proves...

Well perhaps the Indians can team up with the Nigerian space program and make a moon base.. It's about time they both do something useful as well..

Also China didn't innovate and create their own chips. they sole the technology and then built their own.. Kinda like the Russian Shuttles that never did anything or the Russian copy of the B52 bomber.

Oh I thought this was an early iPhone 7 thread

No they made their own and those chips consume 10x less power and are faster than anything the USA has...dont be a jelly klingon...

so which chips are those?

Intel is currently kicking everyone's ass. They've got the monopoly and don't even have to put out new shit (they are holding their tech back, releasing new stuff very slowly), because there is no competition.

guys smarter - for mars need more $$ and more time :1orglaugh
for colonize moon already have almost all.
international space station replace in moon = big moon base without problem with space debris.
yes it will be more expensive - but colonuse planets give humanity unlim resourses.

I think they are using Mars to get 'public interest' going for the whole thing.. a lot of money goes into this and there needs to be political will

that being said, russian and chinese development in this field should provide more than enough reason for public to support
