How to backup and restore to a new laptop?

I know this is a bit of a dumb question and I did try Googling it but it just seemed easier to ask it here.

I have an old laptop running Windows 10. I also have a new laptop running Windows 10.
How can I backup and restore certain files.
For example, I need firefox, Chrome profiles with bookmarks.
My thunderbird with profiles.

Then all my programs like nifty stats, mass planner and a few other paid programs.

Of course any docs on the desktop, documents, pics and music etc.

I don't think that you want to backup and restore to get what you want done.

You probably can best accomplish what you are trying to do by installing the software fresh on the new computer and then importing the data from the old computer.

As long as they are both on the same network that should be pretty easy to do. Then the documents and images and other files just copy from one computer to the other.

You will probably have to enable sharing on the one you want to pull from.
