After spending six years in a barn stall, Lazarus is finally getting a second chance.

Amanda Brooke Charsha-Lindsey with the Big Fluffy Dog Rescue shared an inspiring photo of a recently rescued great pyrenees named Lazarus to her Facebook page on Sunday. According to Charsha-Lindsey, Lazarus was kept in a barn stall for the past six years, and was in dire need of a haircut when groomer Candice Skelton rescued the pup.

There's a show on UK about rescue dogs. It's appalling how some people treat animals. Yet amazing to see how well the dogs respond to a little care and attention.

Some go on to become carer dogs looking after the infirm. Great organisation.

Yeah I actually watch that show as well. Where you get to see extreme abandoned dog's stories.
There should be more shows and organizations like that around the world. :thumbsup

Makes me sick to anyone that knew about this, and let it go on. Glad someone finally took a stand and rescued the lil/big guy.

...great news, only better news would to hear the previous owners get locked up for it

thing is it's not a crime to not groom a dog. some people have their pets with long hair. it would be a real grey area in the law.
