I'm no rider, but I think all of these guys are doing it wrong. They have to keep their center of gravity wayyyy towards the front of the bike, without letting that center get pushed around. Use a bike with a rear wheel extended further out, lean all the way over the front wheel, take the hill more slowly and don't hit any rocks or bumps and voila! You should make it to the top.

I didn't say it was easy, I said they are doing it wrong (obviously, since they were failing).

Gravity wants to push the bike down the hill. We already know the force of gravity, The riders should already know the slope of the hill (60 deg?) and the weight of their bikes + their own weight. They should also know the center of mass of themselves + their bikes at rest, and their combined center of mass at a 60 deg angle.

With zero unknowns, A math-alete should be able to tell the rider exactly what to do to make it to the top of the hill.

speaking of mathematical... how about one of these guys doing the hill? I'm thinking yes...

What you're not taking in consideration is the nasty rocks sticking out in random places. Your solution sounds plausible if... it was smooth dirt hill.

damn, gotta suck to be nailed by a bike like that...

Caldo 09-13-2016 01:04 AM

That's actually freaking amazing. That kind of jacket should be advertised more for cyclist's safety.

yes, it looks like it could save many lives, considering most cycle accidents are most probably lungs or chest injuries...

here's the product test video, a lot shorter :thumbsup
