Did Putin ban porn in Russia? (Something for Mike South?)
 

I got sent this email :

Russia has really banned all porn web sites that don't have a payment portal. The MSM is obsessing about Pornhub and Youporn, but as it turns out, the real deal is that ALL OF IT is blocked.


The email came from this IP 82.221.129.XXX which resolves to iceland. I don't know anyone in Iceland so I guess it's a proxy. Also if this is true why is the mainstream media only focusing on Pornhub and Youporn?

Putin wants us to fuck like rabbits to make more soldiers for his army. Porn doesn't fit into his demography strategy. I bet the next steps will be a ban of abortions and a ban of condoms. Also he may want to set up a special police department which will make sure that the people here have a regular sex. Those who don't make a weekly fuck norm, will be fined.

So it was not a joke, Putin's government does really consider porn as an obstacle to the demography. This did come across my radar and it has been reported by several maionstream outlets that Russia has in fact banned all tubesites and supposedly all porn sites without a payment portal It is really of not much interest to me seeing that I can ever remember a paying member from Russia.

It is an interesting step and I would expect to see more and more countries following suit (The UK did it first...or at least tried) I certainly wont be shedding any tears for pornhub

I've been to South Korea and quickly realized that porn was banned. But upon further research out of frustration while in my hotel room, south Koreans (next to china) spend the most on porn in the world, yearly.

well from what I have read those two are the most recent joining 12 or so others total so it isnt all porn sites...it does seem to be a systematic banning giving ISPs a chance to ban the current ones before the next batch get banned....

If Russia has banned porn, for me, i'm not bothered. I only had hackers and content thieves come to my site from Russia. Less for me to worry about :thumbsup

Well I'll be blunt,
I'm in favor with banning of porn for business reasons. Profts will go up when there's less players in the game and this free porn crap is taken down. It would be nice to be able to make a quality product again instead of this talentless swill men are stroking off to today.

Yes. Plus there are torrents like pornolab.net where you can download full member content of almost all existing paysites.

Just some sites (not all porn of course) and those are just ISP "blocks". In fact, those blocks don't work, for example, when turbo mode is enabled in the Opera browser. Also there is a ton of freeware plugins for other browsers (PC/Android/iOS) that allow one to easily bypass any blocking. E.g. zenmate.com, hola.org etc. So this is a good example of yet another useless law which doesn't work.

There is no repercussion for watching of anything, including that shit which is punished by a jail time in many other countries.

Some ISP's here even display a link to anti-blocking plugins at the pages with "blocked" content. This is Russia :1orglaugh

well once again, assumption from a GFYer is incorrect. I've had many many Russians speak about me and my site. Simple example, a Russian guy over the nudist beach, asking Gary if I was Ukrainian, he laughed and said no.. the Russian saying how beautiful I was. We also have tonnes of Russian friends and neighbors here in Spain, the people that know of my site, all like it.

The only thing about this that I care about is the possibility that this sets precedent amongst other nations. As an old school'r I'm in favor of porn not just being banned from the Internet but also becoming ILLEGAL AGAIN. as for the "ban" - I used recently - few months ago some russian IPs and confirm that BIGGEST tube sites are banned. lots of smaller ones, new ones and less popular work like they worked.

I don't know if it's completely silly - look at Japan where young guys just stay in their bedrooms (of their parent's houses) fapping off to hentai all day, no interest in real women at all. Japan has the lowest birth rate in the world.

Instead of age verification or banning porn completely, they should institute parental verification. You should only be allowed to fap off to porn once you've got your missus up the spout a couple of times. In the UK it's effectively the opposite thanks to Daft Dave and the requirement to contact your ISP to tell them you want to look at porn (which effectively rules out father's).

But it's true, given that Russian women are the most beautiful in the world I doubt if the men prefer to fap off to porn than date them. It's more a case of the women wanting careers, and I doubt if even Russian lawmakers would ever try to interfere with that.
