verio charging $100 per gig
 

hehe.. I had a cheap virtual hosting account on verio for miscellaneous purposes.. I was going over cc statement for last november and noticed $1450 from Verio..

I called today to ask why, and they told me it was for bandwidth overage.. I was like oh.. ok.. how much for overage?

And get this -- the guy says they charge $.10 per meg overage, and I went over 14,500 megs.. (14.5 gigs)

hahaha and they charged me $1450...

pretty funny.. going to charge it back if I can, but still very amusing.. glad I noticed.

Jesus, it's time to change hosts! If you like their network you should just pick a host that is on Verio's network. <cough>

didn't you ask what the overage was before you signed up?

i currently use sinhost and they let you change your package before they charge you for overage. they are also on verio.
