We are a registry, we wholesale the names to registrars -- registrars sell directly to the public.

sex.cam is not for sale -- we are keeping that domain -- tentatively. porn.cam is for sale -- let's see what premium names like that will actually sell for.

Also, of interest to us are more mainstream uses for the .cam gTLD

@Nicky: There will be lots of creative names available for open registration. Good dictionary and number/letter names are expensive in any TLD. Some generic names will have cross branding issues with so many gTLDs ... So, z4see.cam (not a premium name) may be a good way to go to as that spelling could also be registered in the .com gTLD also then redirecting the type-ins to the .cam. We are hoping for the .cam TLD string to have a branding effect with the consumer.

.com means nothing really other than 'commercial' -- time will tell ...

I will for sure be regging some in open registration, might also see what price range some of the 1 and 2 worders go for.

Are you sure? I'm sure there will be 1000's of "premium" domains that you will have to pay xxx or xxxx per year just to renew.

that is the horrible thing about these new domains, all privately owned so they can do whatever they want.

I'm sure .cam will do ok, better than .webcam anyways. they aren't doing so well.

Nothing personal against Barry, I just really dislike how these new gtlds are being sold. I don't agree with premium renewals especially and the hoarding under shell companies.
