I've gotten to a point where I dont want to open my emails

Is anyone getting good news in their emails, and looking forward to opening them in the morning? Or is it just me, that every morning have to put out fires? aghhhhrrrr!

SirDubin 09-22-2016 06:45 AM

I do get good news all the times on mi emails :D

HowlingWulf 09-22-2016 06:45 AM

I know what you mean. I'm always happy when I check email in the morning and there are no emergencies waiting for me. :P

I've tried to learn to be efficient at it.

If you get problem emails / error emails / complaints etc, Skip the emotional content of an email and concentrate just on the core problem. Make that your priority to get it fixed. Learn to recognize spam emails just by their titles and click delete. Then, do all of your follow-ups with current and potential new customers. For me anyway, this helps me to be more productive.

good advice :thumbsup

I had a similar feeling regarding so much stuff getting in my inboxes, mostly newsletter spam i've opted in while registering at various sites throughout the years. I've unsubscribed from all of that as well opted out of social media notifications. Now all my mail is nice and neat, only relative stuff, nothing to sort through.

There are always fires to put every morning. Most jobs have something like this.

Put out fires, then take care of regular daily tasks, then go looking for new business. Every day.

Exactly this - A day without a crisis is a miracle

Always some Member emailing about this or that, or problems from affiliates or other Programs I am upselling...I consider it all "part of the biz" and do not stress about it. LOL

Yada yada yada.

I wish I could do this - the chargebacks just knock me out. Now I spend an hour yelling at them every time I have to go through it.

Just do what I do: pretend you are a Haji from Bangladesh answering in broken English and lots of "Sirs".

Its what people expect anyway. :)

BJ 09-23-2016 12:11 PM

Never give out your email or phone # to randoms. That's whats staff is for.

LOL I LOVE this advice as some slip through the cracks.

I programmed our phone system in the office to send people in a circle of death. If they try to get fancy and press 0, the whole thing starts from the beginning. :1orglaugh

Who are you yelling at? Just throw paper chargebacks in the trash and be done with it, if you get paper chargebacks. Email... delete. Then go get coffee and watch a movie :thumbsup

You obviously don't know how chargebacks work and what effect it can have on your business :2 cents:

Well... I bet I handle them better then you. I created my own tracking system and inside of that system includes all chargebacks. At the click of one button I know exactly the chargeback percent for every affiliate. And I know, within seconds, what affiliates need to go based on total sales and chargeback percent. I also include the $25 fee with each chargeback and include that in my profit column. So I know, both dollar and %, what each affiliate is worth to me... to the penny.

Your turn.

p.s. I don't fight them because I'm not in the business of giving gateway 25 bucks for all those second chargebacks that come in. And I fought them for a long ass time, and the money was a wash.
