I have been once, accompanied a good buddy. I would say, not too bad experience at all for I got to make some rational conversations with the people around.

Yes, to both a gay and a lesbian one, no differnce bwtween them and the mainstream ones, people are people :) Maybe this is a bigger deal for straight guys though

Yeah. First time was at Mardi Gras in my early twenties.
We walked too far down Bourbon street and entered a bar to get a drink, noticed there were no women and a poster that had "Big Dick Contest Thursday Night!" and got out of there immediately. Oops LOL.

Another time my GF and her 'group' took me to a gay club and it was quite fun. Probably because I had her on my arm the whole night.

I have many times. I lived with the gay owner of a club and then worked in a very popular mixed club. It was in an old warehouse in downtown Charleston. Had 5 different bars areas inside it, with a huge dance floor with a palm tree growing out of it. Was the place to be at that point in history.

From a pure party perspective, it was some of the best times of my life. Obviously that pales in comparison to many other things, but damn, I had fun!

I have, however, been to a country and western bar. And it was amazing - mostly because it was a completely different world.

Me and mi GF entered in one "we had no idea" all of them where staring at us like shit :)) after like 2 minutes we realized that she is the only girl inside that bar and left very fast :))

no, but I heard they serve cheap beer etc (like half the price of surrounding mainstream bars) andthat was the reason some straight guys were going there.
