I like the design but the whole self lacing thing is too gimmicky. Besides, if you can't bother to tie your own shoelaces what use do you have towards sport sneakers anyway? :1orglaugh More of a collectors item then anything else.

lemmee guess. they are only making like 500 of them, all pre-sold to superfans & celebs...just like ferraris.

I think this is the future really.... And here is why..... I cycle, and I wear shoes for cycling. Bike shows use a cord like a fishing wire to lace up, and instead of tying anything up we just spin a little knob.... To untie them you pull the knob up.

Here is a picture....

I think most sneakers will be like this in the future.

Those are slick!

Yeah I would buy that.

can't wait to see fat guys wearing them Since tying their shoes let alone putting on socks is a daily struggle.

They use a similar "boa" system for snowboarding boots. Same as what Rochard posted. They work amazing and no more tying up with frozen fingers.

Meh, still not as impressive as the shoes from the movie.

Every time I put on my bike shoes I have to laugh... I'm not lazy or anything and I can tie my own shoes, but the system on my bike shoes is just perfect. It's so freaking easy.

Yeah, but that's a good thing.

Pretty cool. They may or may not sell but it doesn't matter. It's just another indication of someone somewhere being inspired by dreamers & artists who made a futuristic movie and decided they could turn a part of that dream into a reality.

There's a great documentary called "How William Shatner Changed the World" that is all about Star Trek and its influence on tech. Smart and entertaining and worth the 90 or so minutes to watch.

Can't see the point. Sneakers are for exercise, tying them up is the start of that.

I run every morning; In fact, it's 7:10am on a Saturday morning and I am about to head out. The past two mornings I had to stop and tie up my shoes. That's getting old.

If we can have shoes that can tie themselves and never need to be adjusted, why not?

hentaijap 09-24-2016 09:21 AM
