The debate...

No matter what excuses you Tump supporters use the simple fact is Hillary owned Trump at almost every turn.

It's no secret I dislike Trump, but I was interested to hear what he had to say or if he could act presidential. I don't like Hillary either but she is obviously the lesser of two evils..

Trump basically proved what he is last night. He is just a spoiled rich kid playing politics for his own ego.

Trump is a good salesman and a ok marketer I'll give him that but thats only if you don't look under the hood.he's good at selling bullshit to stupid people.

Trump has spent his life getting by because he had money and it showed in the debate last night. He didn't prepare and thought he could get by because he thinks he's smarter than he is. He's not and Hillary took him to school.

The simple fact is, if Trump had not been born from a golden virgina he would just be a greasy used car sales man.. he already has the hair for it..

Notice Trump supporters are rather cool with how the debate went? About that. Your progressive freak out will be fun to watch. Trump spoke truth to power last night while Hillary squirmed and baited and switched symptoms for causes. Trump should not have held back and should have told 100 million people about pedo rapist bill which very much does concern his enabler Hillary. Particularly her piss poor judgement. I wish I could say I read your latest outburst op.

Umm that's why there is a half dozen topics claiming it was a set up or claiming Trump won when it's extremely obvious he didnt..

They don't sound d ok with it too me... 8)

did you take a look at the fact thread about the questions? Claim all you want but anyone can see that only Trump got the critical questions. Or did you watch something else?

Anyway, debates are not important, it's who they are what is important.

Hillary = Washington elite, slave of her donors, blood on her hands.

Trump = Outsider that EVERYONE from the establishment is against. <--- The only reason you need to make up your mind.

What they say doesn't matter.

Trump won and it was impressive given the partiality and bias that 100 million people also witnessed. The fact you people can't shut up about it, are triggered, and creating a lot of noise, is absolutely meaningless. Trump transcended scripted shillary last night and appeared more human. Often a chief deciding factor. Ask Stephen Harper about that. Do you live close to Bohemian Grove crockett?

Rochard 09-27-2016 09:11 AM

Nearly everything Trump said was a lie. It was stunning.

Who go what questions doesn't matter. What Trump showed is he was not prepared to be the POTUS..

If he can't even answer obvious questions with out getting stumped what's he gonna do when faced with some serious threat like 9/11 or deal with our ongoing wars..

He is too lazy or thinks he is too smart to have to put effort into being prepared. He isn't fit to do the job..

At best he should of run to be mayor of NYC..

November 8th cant come soon enough.. end it already.

If anything should be abundantly clear by now... it is this: Everything we think we know about America politics has been utterly curb stomped.

Did Hillary Clinton win what anyone understands a debate to be last night? YES. Undeniably

Will that put her into the White House? No.

What everyone saw was Hillary Clinton proposing solutions to a lot problems she had a hand in creating and Donald Trump calling bullshit on all of it. Any person that's being anything approaching intellectually honest with themselves was, however secretly, cheering Donald on in his attacks. This is what the voting public wants to see. They want to see the prevailing political class getting knocked down a peg and The Don brought that to the table. Effectively and decisively? Not as good as what is wanted... But there are more debates and this lackluster performance is only going to motivate Trump to bring it harder. In the long run Hillary Clinton isn't walking away a winner.

IMO, OP

What is bothersome is a man that won the Republican nomination put literally zero effort into being prepared for a presidential debate.

That tells you he thinks he's too smart for the job which he obviously isn't or he doesn't really care about the job and is only on a ego trip..

This was literally Trump's debate to win. All he had to do was come out and show he knew what the fuck he was talking about and he couldnt.

Are you just ignorant and don't care who knows it? Anyone with any kind of decent education and awareness can see through Trumps lies and lack of substance. He simply makes stuff up and you think he's the bright one? He just lies and then lies some more. He denies published and provable statements he's made like they don't exist. You would have to be as dumb as he is to buy the shit he is flushing down your throats. That's what makes you Trumpiteers so laughable, you're just stupid and you have no defense. I'm sorry, but I'm not willing to turn my country over to a fascist buffoon.

Hillary isn't fixing any problems anymore than anyone else who might of gotten elected. Congress is a grid lock and doesn't do their job.. No potus will solve that..

Trump won't fix anything either because both parties hate him..

What you are voting on is things that can be done by the POTUS.. Trump clearly doesn't have a clue of what that job entails or how to do it.

Hillary as snide or as misleading as anyone might believe she is understands what that job is far better than Trump.

No doubt. Hillary was high as fuck last night. You could visibly see her drugs wear off 70 minutes in and she instantly became a nursing home patient. Very unsettling to watch, particularly when she looked into the camera directly. That gave my soul a shellacking. She's a fucking demon personified.

Trump being a good president or not is completely irrelevant to what is going on. No one is giving a shit about the man.. it's the black eye he is giving to to the system that matters.

Giving a black eye doesn't win a fight. All Trump has done is stir up a bunch of radicals. That won't solve any problems just like radical terrorist will never fix an issue.

You win by setting a good example. Last night I watched a show on PBS after the debate.. was about US wars and so forth..

Part of this show talked about Afghanistan. These old Afghan farmers remembered the names of US Army core of engineers that came to their country in the 60s and built irrigation canals so they could farm..

They actually wanted to know how the Army core guys were doing.. Do you think those younger farmers will remember a single combat soldiers name in 50 years?

Trump was in position to be a positive change as he had connections on both side of the aisle. Instead he choose to be a radical and to divide.

This is a problem which has eaten the right alive and destroyEd their party. They constantly choose to try and divide America and the world for that matter. Instead of working together for the good of all they always choose exclusion and hate..

CDSmith 09-27-2016 10:28 AM

Trump isn't dumb, nor is he lazy. Those who think such things are way off and simply don't know the man.

Hills destroyed him in this first debate. Why that comes as a surprise to some is the biggest surprise of all really. Did it "win her the presidency?" Of course not. Rarely if ever does any one debate do that, especially not the first one. But it did bring her one step closer to it.

I never thought I'd be saying this but the 'Trump Train' isn't something to be taken lightly. It/he won't go away quietly. I'll point out though that most of his loudest and most rabid supporters here (on GFY) would have scoffed at me 18 months ago had I said he would get this far. Back then most here were taking pot shots at the GOP for again trotting out a crop of idiots and sure losers.

I'm still predicting a Hillary win, but not by nearly the margin I predicted a year ago. It's going to be close, and Trump actually does have a real shot at it.

You seem unusually angry today, not taking what happened last night to well apparently.

The only stamina Trump gets is from the white lines, it's why he did well the first 15 minutes then he crashed and burned. Don't you think the public has a right to know the extent of this mans cocaine usage?

I am Canadian, so you can tell me to take my opinion elsewhere if you want, that's fine. I just wanted to chime in as someone who thinks these two are both morons and neither one of them should be running any country.

first off - I do hope the Donald wins, just want to see what happens, I figure he'll shake things up for a few months, then seriously fuck something up, then likely end up dead.

secondly, after watching, I do believe that both candidates were on something.

thirdly, even if I am wrong about #'s 1 and part of #2, I can absolutely guarantee that Hillary was HIGH AS FUCK last night. there is no question at all, she was on the moon. I think you could have told her that she was accepting an Oscar for best supporting musician in an off Broadway musical and she would have likely given the most heartfelt acceptance speech you ever heard.

she's pretty good at this game!

There is one minor problem with this logic. There aren't very many moderates left in the house or senate and both parties tend to put their party and their desire to be in power above and beyond actually doing the job they were elected to do.

If Trump wins and the democrats manage to regain the Senate, they will do as the republicans did to Obama and say no to everything he wants to do out of spite. It worked for the republicans. They said no to everything, and when Obama did get things passed they had to use some shady tactics and the republicans screamed about it. . . and it helped them take back the House during the first midterm election. If the repubs still hold the House and Senate, the Democrats will filibuster everything.

So, the democrats will say no to everything and the far right will likely not work with Trump because they hate him and feel like he has hijacked their party.

With pissed of dems to the left and pissed of repubs to the right, Trump will be stuck in the middle with little power.

If, after the first midterm, the republicans make gains in congress and Trump has a decent approval rating the repubs might start working with him, but I won't be shocked if they try to sabotage him so they can run someone else against him after his first term.
