Despite Hillary's "crushing blow" to Trump at the debate, the polls remain virtually unchanged.

My assertion that Trump would go up in the polls post debate doesn't seem to be panning out. Even more interestingly, the polls weren't shifted by much either.

Could this mean with a few good showings at the next couple of debates have Trump running away with it?

plaster 09-28-2016 10:24 AM

It's actually best clinton did not croak in first debate because they would have time to replace her. She needs to go into seizure in last debate. I sure wish I could place a bet on that with someone like Horatio crane.... err wait, he's a lying piss ant.

No, it means you fail to analyze polls properly.

From the poll you posted:

We update the data each day based on the weighted average of poll responses over the previous week. That means results have less volatility than some other polls, but also means the poll lags somewhat in responding to major events in the campaign.

Coup 09-28-2016 10:46 AM

It was an honest mistake on my part because I was not going to actually read all that spergy bullshit like some dorky Poindexter. So suck it.

Trump 2016 bitches

HowlingWulf 09-28-2016 11:22 AM

Yeah, we all know fact checking shows weakness!

Rochard 09-28-2016 12:09 PM

I think it's a bit too early to tell. The serious polls take a few days to get the results out to the public.

I use Real Clear Politics: RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - General Election: Trump vs. Clinton

Seems Clinton got a single point bump, but I would wait until Friday or next Monday to see.

This is the most Trump/GFY reply ever. You link to data to make a point then when it is pointed out the data isn't accurate, you admit it is a mistake, but then bash the person that pointed it out because they pulled some bullshit. . . you know. . . like reading the data.:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Polls mean shit. Debates are to sway the undecided! You will see the true effects of the debate(s) on those undecided come election night. It will be interesting on how those who are undecided chose in early voting

BULLSHIT. Polls are everything. If you studied them as closely and in detail as I do you would know this.

Polls are not everything.

There are different kind of polls. Polls that can easily be manipulated aren't really polls are at all. Meaning, if I make a poll asking who won the debate and then post up links in Republican Facebook groups to all of my Republican friends, well, it's pretty obvious who is going to win.

JSWENSON 09-28-2016 02:44 PM

But I can say without a shadow of a doubt: Probably.

They had Florida in his corner last week, now she is a 10 point lead in that battleground.

Overall its not looking good for him.

none of the recent florida poll results used to derive that "chance to win" percentage number have clinton up by ten points.

Amazing with all these posts - that I guarantee that no one has said, "that makes sense I'm changing parties".

Such a wasted effort

We pay way too much attention to stats. We all should be looking at the overall picture:
RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - General Election: Trump vs. Clinton

Seems the only time Trump was beating Hillary was directly after the Republican Convention, which is to be expected.

Right now Hillary is leading by 3 percent. This doesn't sound like a lot, but it is. Didn't Romney lose by less than one half of a percent?

It's not closer at all. Clinton is ahead of Trump by 3% The image you showed me is about the same.

How is "not closer at all" and "about the same" a logical position to hold? 3 percent is a bit closer of a race than Obama's 3.86 percent popular vote win.

Another election year another pile of meaningless national polls.

http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/...id=rrpromo#now

The Electoral College is all that matters and in that race Trump has no chance.

You're absolutely right.

Trump needs to not only win the handful of swing states (some which are very close and some he is behind) -- but he also needs to take a couple of decidedly blue states from Hilary, and that's in addition to sweeping the swing states. His path is much, much narrower.

I don't care how many tight polls or online surveys exist, or how many dumb rednecks show up to his circus rallies. All Clinton has to do is keep the blue states and take a couple of swing states and the election will be over.

After Trump has 10 mini meltdowns in the next debate, and spends a week doing dumb post-debate shit, the gap will widen even more. There has never been a political candidate who fits the description of "own worst enemy", more than Trump. Just throw him some bait and watch the trainwreck happen for a few days. He's having a Mitt Romney 47% crisis at least every week, and that's being nice about it.

At this point, Mitt Romney looks like a golden god compared to that shitstain Donald Trump.

538 is about as trustworthy as Washington Post when it comes to this race and being unbiased. RCP has a bit more accurate count. Personally I think and the maps show it all rides on Florida just like the 00 race and Clinton is only up 1% there.

No. You ignored what I said and went back to the bullshit national polls. 538 is using the state by state polls and offers 3 versions of their stats, guess who is dominating in all 3? (Psst, that includes the polls only prediction as well.)

Trump has no chance, never did. The fact that he won a Republican primary is only an indicator that Republicans are lost. It has zero bearing on a national election.

You troll with one side's negative facts. We know Trump is crooked, batshit crazy and unfit to lead a country. The problem is his opponent is bought and paid for and won't change a damn thing. When change is what's needed.

You missed what I said. 538 is compromised. Nate admitted to changing his algorithm after the DNC because Hillary didn't get the bump they hoped for.. I documented it right here on gfy before he HAD to admit it. What he is now doing is "predicting" or "forecasting" polls and he went back and actually changed old poll results in the database. Simply put he got caught and came out with some bullshit that he's a genius so don't question him. One of his partner sites bailed on him during it all.

True change will only happen when there are house and senate term limits. Congress needs a massive enema which will never happen as things stand now. People will rarely vote out any incumbents because they bring alot of pork to their district, hence term limits are needed for a real change

After that they need to deal with lobbying and lobbyist
