Email list building for porn sites
 

Hey Everyone,

I wanted some advice on successful email lists for porn. I mean building them, in other words, people come to your site and actually sign up for updates via email.

What programs are you using? Do your customers actually sign up for email updates? Has it been worthwhile to do that, sending out newsletters or whatever you do?

I'm having decent success with building a list so far, granted I have not put a TON of effort into doing it.

I simply have a widget on my site encouraging people to sign up to the email list so that users can be emailed directly the most popular blog post of the week.

I get around 5k uniques per day, resulting in 2-8 signups on the list. After a little under the year the list is sitting at about 1400 subs. When I send an email it gets about 140 opens and 61 clicks to the site on average. Not the best, but its not bad for the amount of work I've put into it.

It takes time and a bit of effort. We have about 9,000 subs, but we only sent out mass mail 3 to 4 x per year....when we have a new content. We have about 3,000+" opens", but we have no track on new buys ( we have no membership).... Hopefully, our new webmasters will set up GA so we can track this data in the the future, but the bump to business for the following week is significant.:2 cents:

That's what I was afraid of hearing. I guess you can't really expect people to be open to having "porn emails" sent to them! lol

It was just something that I was curious in see in how other were doing.
