If Twitter gets sold to Disney or Google, are adult performers + webmasters fucked?

It looks like Twitter is having business problems and might be sold, possibly to Disney, Google or SalesForce.
Do you think any new owner will allow porn to keep going on it?

How Twitter Could Change Under Owners Disney, Salesforce or Google

Google probably would. Salesforce might---they're business-minded folk. Disney... probably not.

Incidentally, I've seen Gab.ai referred to as a free-speech-tolerant successor to Twitter, along the lines of vid.me (for YouTube) and Minds.com (for Facebook). As social-media sites continue to tighten the clamp on user content I'll be curious to see if and to what extent the adult industry embraces these new platforms.

That's not good at all if they become owner of twitter.

Why do you say that?

ErectMedia 10-01-2016 03:18 PM

Positive side would be I'd stop receiving a gazillion advertise on twitter emails for my mainstream sites, can tell they aren't doing well based on email frequency. :2 cents:

Most big performers and sites use Twitter to connect to their fans.

Nah, dont waste your time with Vid.me, they will delete your account if you dont own the content... they are worst then youtube.

Google isn't a fan of porn either. It's not allowed on Adwords or Youtube

Paul Markham 10-02-2016 02:25 AM

Probably not if it doesn't make money. Do porn surfers buy from the Twitter Ads?

It's as simple as that. They will run an algorithm to see how much is generated from the porn accounts to the owner and decide. So probably toast.

Barry-xlovecam 10-02-2016 07:41 AM

Salesforce or Disney will through porn under the bus -- they would make Facebook look like a walk in the park ...

Google would probably not allow any commercial porn -- like adsense rules ...

Make plans :2 cents:

CAHEK 10-02-2016 12:22 PM

Twitter won't be sold any time soon.:2 cents:

I doubt it is going to happen... It will only get worse (for adult industry) when it gets sold.

I agree. I was thinking that most of twitter is adult related. However, it's the twitter ads where they make money, this is mainly main stream adverts :2 cents:

BaldBastard 10-03-2016 07:06 AM

If Trump gets in Government is going to buy it.

CaptainHowdy 10-03-2016 07:07 AM

I suck at such predictions ...

Paul Markham 10-04-2016 01:13 AM

Disney, Google or SalesForce do not owe porn a living. Just like MG and others who "screw" you. It will come down to numbers of $$$$ crunching.

Thats what I think. Im really worried about it. Nothing left but tumblr :(:(

Adnium_Ivana 10-05-2016 06:25 AM

Surprisingly I think Disney would. Now if it was Facebook the answer for sure would be no.

AdultKing 10-06-2016 03:40 AM

In my opinion the clock is already ticking, even without a sale, Twitter may ban porn in the medium term.
