He was right with what he said and he said some not all and data backs him up...

"Roughly 20 veterans a day commit suicide nationwide, according to new data from the Department of Veterans Affairs — a figure that dispels the often quoted, but problematic, “22 a day” estimate yet solidifies the disturbing mental health crisis the number implied.

In 2014, the latest year available, more than 7,400 veterans took their own lives, accounting for 18 percent of all suicides in America. Veterans make up less than 9 percent of the U.S. population.

About 70 percent of veterans who took their own lives were not regular users of VA services.

The new data, being released publicly today, is the most comprehensive suicide study ever conducted by the department."

New VA study finds 20 veterans commit suicide each day

yes. trump is a lifelong snob, pretending to be a populist. i get it.

you libs should be hoping trump wins. because if hilary does, it will be the last chapter of liberal rule in the USA for at least a generation. the sad part is, liberals will take the blame for neo-liberal policies. all because of a PC con artist crook.

Says the guy who can't remember which foot got him out of the draft

Rochard 10-03-2016 10:47 AM

At a certain point.... You have to wonder if he is doing this for his friends... Meaning, he is doing this for Bill and Hillary Clinton. LOL.

I find this rather amusing. Trump has had nothing to do with our military at any level until the moment he decided to run. However, our military has always been traditionally Republican.

Clinton suggests Canadians who are fixated on US politics, don't have a life.

To begin, it?s pure comedy. Canadians love a good laugh and American politics have consistently provided great humour. From Bush indignantly saying, ?They misunderestimated me? to pretty much every single Sarah Palin interview, there is simply no way to keep a straight face when discussing American politics.
Here are my own personal reasons:

It's stunning. It's stunning to me how some people that I think are so stupid, get so close to the white house. To me, a Canadian, you should be someone who is an expert at everything, who has many degrees, gone to the best schools, understand basic science and advanced law, etc.

Since I personally love science, I pay more attention to anyone who wants to dismiss science for other things such as financial gain or religious reasons, then measure how much that dismissal can hurt people or places.

So when American politicians, who are undoubtably the most powerful in the world get closer to the white house AND say climate change is a hoax (Trump), or that vaccines cause autism (Palin), I get anxious. Why? Because what Americans do affects Canadians, and affects the world.

Idiots like Trump becoming president doesn't just ruin your day, it ruins our day too.

We should have brassmonkey run for president in 2020. Just like Trump he know everything about anything. Especially when it comes to guns or gangs.

The smartest people never make it in government. I don't want to say our government attracts the dumbest people, but.... It is what it is. Smart people can make more money doing their own thing.

I remember years ago watching a dicussion about the Congressional Committee On Technology and one of the Congressman called it "that email thingy". This was back in 2004 or so, but still.... how can you be on the Congressional Committee On Technology and not know what email is.

Trump is no different. He thinks he knows everything, but doesn't. He has gotten away with it for years. He thinks he knows and understands the press, but this is an entirely new league for him. This is no longer fluff pieces about his wife or some hotel he opened; This is everyone in the counrty looking over everything he has ever done and then reporting on it. Trump has been in business for a long time and he has left a very long paper trail. Now his charity foundation has been shut down - all because he didn't file a damn piece of paper. He got away with it because in the past everyone was like "Oh, you launched a charity, how nice Mr. Trump". Now half of the country hates him and wants to take him down so they are looking over everything.

Wasn't he involved in some scam for condos in Mexico too that fell through, and everyone had to sue him?

Libbies do not like the truth if it is "offensive" to some "weaker" party.

Its natural for a psychopath like trump to not understand why normal people go crazy when they come back from war...I truly believe that he believes that they are weak...

How fucked-up is it that a Canadian like me to do your fact-checking for you?

And here's why what he said, matters:

Let me ask you a question: If you are a cop or a fireman and you break your arm on the job, does it make you "weak" to go the hospital? If you're a soldier and you get shot, does it make you weak to go to the hospital? The answer to all 3 is no.

Now, you're at war, and you have to do some fucked-up shit, and see some fucked up shit. This shit is so fucked up that it can damage your brain. You come back home, you're depressed, disoriented, and suffer from PTSD. You need help for this, and you go to the hospital. Why should this now make you look weak?

It's not even worth responding to the silly comments. You'd have to be completely brain washed/dead to think what came out of Trump's mouth was ill intended towards vets.

This is similar to housing a homeless person and said homeless person punches himself in the face and then calls the cops that he was assaulted by the home owner. The home owner then receives a restraining order against the homeless man and the judge kicks the home owner out of his own house. Similar ideology to that of libs in this case, as like many others. :thumbsup

Uhm... i think that is called logic: When you have a strong mind you can handle something, when your mind isn't strong enough you can't.

Not sure what the fuss is about. Maybe people should stop overreacting with their emotions and look at what is actually being said, which is the truth.

She's not standing between Trump supports. She's standing with other cool "Libsters". The other sign says "Love Trumps Hate".

Hillary is about as liberal as Reagan was.. I realize you can't understand this, but Hillary or Trump will both create a strong liberal movement as the younger voters are being ignored by both and for the next several election cycles, they will have the largest voting block.

kane 10-04-2016 06:48 PM

I think what Trump meant is that some people can deal with the PTSD on their own and others cannot and need help. Of course that isn't exactly how it came out.

Of course they are not strong. No human is strong enough to murder a complete stranger or strangers on the other side of the planet without any repercussions.

No mater what the cause or war, it's still murder. The guilt of murder is what is destroying the lives of all Vets. They don't talk about it publicly, but guilt is a powerful emotion that destroys the spirit and brings on depression that destroys the body and soul. Suicide rate is up to about 20 a day.

Murdering for your country, is still murder. Almost impossible to live with that type of guilt.

Sickening how the media creates negativity out of nothing, when the talk Trump did was actually positive. They really take a sentence out of context and create headlines like 'TRUMP SAYS PTSD VETERANS ARE NOT STRONG' , 'TRUMP DISRESPECTS PTSD VETERANS'. Disgusting, sickening, and to anyone doubting that there is no propaganda (how's your sleep?) - this is a great example of how propaganda works.
