Saudi 9/11 Law
Nice override of the veto you fucktards in Congress. They couldn't back pedal fast enough. So why not just let the veto stand and move on?
Congress May Rewrite Saudi 9/11 Law After Veto Override - Bloomberg Politics |
This is a cluster fuck.
I am not sure exactly what happened here. The White House warned them about this, and the President went so far as to veto it. What I really think happens in Congress is that no one is really paying attention to what they are doing.... They get a new potential bill, and instead of reading it they staff it out to a group of people who decide which way to vote. In some cases, the actual content of the bill isn't important and this is where politics comes into play. It seems to me like they wanted to hand Obama a defeat at all costs. Why doesn't our government just do it's job instead of playing games? |
Typical dumb Republicans being dumb Republicans. They engage mouth and have knee jerk reactions then realize the dumb shit they do and finally try to figure out how to blame Obama or Hillary..

Actually it wasn't just the obstructionist dumb republicans this time, the veto overide passed with only one nay, a retiring congressmen. They were so afraid to vote against anything with 9/11 in the bill that they forgot to read it.
Fire them all and start over. |

Have you ever seen a bill thats going to be voted on?
Quick search I found this. "I have a fundamental problem with any 1,000-page bills,"said Sen. David Vitter, R-La., at a town hall meeting on Wednesday. Back in June, Newt Gingrich complained on Fox News that "[t]his bill is already 1,000 pages long." It's now 1,018 pages, to be exact—is that especially long for a bill? Meaning.... The law should read "If you murder someone, you go to jail for life". Not "if you murder someone you will go to jail for life, we are going to build a water slide park in Florida, it is not illegal to go logging in Washington State, the speed limit in school zones must be 20 miles per hour, it's illegal to kill a jaybird in Florida" and so on.... A law should be "X" not "X plus 1400 other things". |
