Name a good 4K movie / show to show off a 4K TV to its full advantage...

and is available as part of Amazon Prime ?

All the stuff I seen so far is either 'cityscapes' (Designed to show off TV in a store) and TV shows such as 'The Girlfriend Experience' all seem to be shot in dark dingy rooms and sets where HD would be just as good.

Having just got prime I'm looking to watch something on my 4K tv that will make me go 'Wow!' - But I'm "CurrentlyDissapointed"

all the lighting guys get hard dicks shooting in the fucking dark, it's so fucking innovative, who cares if you can't see any action?

I dont know whats on Amazon Prime, but Marc Polo season 2 on Netflix was shot in 4k.

I believe the last season of the Walking Dead was shot in 4k as well.

Any of the Netflix stuff. Stranger Things, Daredevil, House of Cards.

I would second this they are good shows all of them and even though they may not me made to exhibit 4K in the same way that shows like blue earth exhibited HD they are good.

The real advantage of 4K comes with larger screens...prior to HD for example a 60 inch screen wasnt practical because the shitty resolution didnt scale to large screens...when i single pixel is a quarter inch in dimension quality is going to suffer.

4K makes 120 inch screens (and larger) practical I can easily envision the day when you may have an entire wall that is a screen, the screen being applied to the wall much like wallpaper...instead of a real window you might wake up to what looks like a glass wall looking out over a sunrise on the ocean, or snow covered mountain and valley, or really anything you can think of....and you can change it anytime you like

8K even makes that more viable.....I think the best is yet to come

I dont really see bandwidth as an issue hell I get 100Mbps right now for 40 bucks a month 10 years ago it wasnt even available

10 years from now terabit bandwidth with be basic internet and the delivery model will shift away from expensive satellites to internet...it doesnt take a genius to see this...

10 votes for Stranger Things and House Of Cards. Good quality and looks great in 4k. Daredevil is pretty, but it's boring as hell :2 cents:

It's hard enough streaming 720p, now we have to have the bandwidth hogged up with needless 4k quality?

I would say the best way to experience it would be with a 4k DVD...anything streamed is going to have some level of compression artifacts. It may be a small amount, but it'll be there -- while that won't be the case with a DVD.

I just think it's a another gimmick. When the content is good (and there's a lot of good TV content), that extra pixel depth is not going to make the show any better.

There's 4K rips showing up on thepiratebay more and more often. The files sizes usually start around 30 gbs and up though.

I enjoy 4k "ambient tv" videos on Youtube. Or .. do they just SAY 4K in the title, but not really 4K? Either way, they look stunning on my tv ... just be sure to use the filter to get the videos that are longer than 20 minutes. The Telus Vancouver Aquarium video is nice.

I could send you some RAW Uncompressed 4K footage from out of my camera. 18 minutes is about 250gb.

It's not at all a gimmick with regards to production and post production. That said, most content these days is produced for the web...and 1080 will be the standard there for a long time to come. Shooting in 4K with a final deliverable of 1080p gives you a lot of freedom to do a lot in post production. You still get room if you deliver for the cinema, because most of those project at 2.5k, which is i slightly more than 1080p

They are all recorded from Netflix streaming.

Pirates haven't been able to crack 4k UHD discs yet.

Thanks for the offer but thats prob overkill for me. In essence, I just joined Amazon Prime and have so far been disappointed in the 4K offerings that I have seen...

I just wondered if anyone could say - Yeah, watch this on prime - It really looks great in 4K :)

Check out some of the 4K rips from Tushy or the like on PlanetSuzy and tell me you are not impressed when you can see the pubic hair starting to protrude from the folicles of Alex Grey's 1-day-old shaven pussy from across the room.

You won't get this on Amazon Prime.

redwhiteandblue 10-08-2016 02:41 AM

The new Clarkson Hammond and May thing will be 4K but it's not out yet.

That's another problem with high detail as it pertains to porn. Nobody is perfect(even the hottest girls), and I don't need a machine to give me a better view of gross human body stuff better than my naked eye could if I was actually there. I don't need to see the cells of her epidermis to bust a nut.

You're right. Some of the 4K porn out there is shockingly bad. It's as if some of them have jumped at the chance of shooting in 4K without any consideration of how they have to adapt their shoots to accomodate it.
