Wordpress Users: Where Would You hide a Page Meant for Google Only?

I have a page that I would like to be indexed by Google only, ie: I don't want people finding it through my website.
How would be best to hide the page so it is indexed fairly quickly but hidden from the view of regular visitors. Don't really want to use hidden text or something.

I don't want my site banned. It's one page only.

Pretty sure cloaking is frowned on by Google.

Any other options slightly more sensible.

create a page (not post) and don't link it from anywhere like menu or widget.

Ok the only reason to want to have a page indexed by Google is so that people can find it, why would you not want people finding the page ???

:Oh crap

You mean just link to it somewhere in another page?

Thing is the page isn't something I want read by other visitors. I want it only for Google searches to see.

EDIT:
I do want the page to be seen by visitors but only those that find it through a Google search. I don't want regular visitors stumbling across the page just because they clicked the wrong link.

don't link it from menu or widget, but add it to sitemap.xml which you submit inside google webmaster tools.

I do want the visitors from Google to find it but I don't want other people on my site that didn't come from that Google search to find it.

Then bns666 has the right answer, put it in your sitemap that you submit under webmaster tools with google!

:)

It's saved as a draft at the moment. If I publish it it will automatically be added to my menu.
If I delete it from the menu will it still show up in sitemaps?

How do I submit to WMT with a page not in a menu or sidebar/ widget area?

Since I've never wanted to hide any pages I'm not sure if this will show pages in the sitemap after marking them for exclusion, you'll just have to give it a try :thumbsup

This is not that complicated and I do it often. Dont have pages showing in your auto-generated menus. Make a menu manually for pages, and dont put the page that you dont want found in the menus.

Yes, google will find it in your sitemap if you include it in your sitemap. Surfers on your website will not.

Pages are different from posts. You understand that, right?

scarlettcontent 10-11-2016 01:36 AM

make the link text small so people dont see it

CustomBusinessSoftware 10-11-2016 01:43 AM

3 ways to do it

1:- make link color same as background color so visitors cant see it
2:- make page but do not link it to anywhere and name the page something not common
3:- use css well make link but put another layer over it and use zindex so upper layer is visible only
