making gifs clickable anyone know how?

I need someone to make gifs clickable .. not html coding, but actually embedding the links into the gif - anyone know how to do this?

stoka 10-13-2016 11:58 AM

that is not possible

Why 10-13-2016 11:59 AM

this is simply not possible, for a number of reasons. simply, a gif is not interpreted this way by any known browser, as links are not part of the GIF spec nor purpose.

Spunky 10-13-2016 12:21 PM

It will never work

I think you want to use flash...wouldn't suggest it.

To be sure what you want show us a site doing what you want.

yuu.design 10-13-2016 01:16 PM

no way to do that

CaptainHowdy 10-13-2016 01:19 PM

You'll need a magician ...

Yeah, does not use flash as the biggest browsers do not support it anymore.

an idea, like for use on twitter. Twitter picks up the main image for your site, when adding the link. I.E come & join blablabla.com , then on twitter, it would show under this text the main image on your site.

So, add the gif as your main image on your site & this would be picked up. Linking to your site :thumbsup

open the gif in notepad and add <a href="http://yourlink.com"> at the top of the file. Then, at the bottom of the file add </a>.

HTH, OP.

trevesty 10-13-2016 07:24 PM

as others have noted, that's simply not possible...

I can help you if the images can be hosted from your server.

EddShootsPorn 10-14-2016 01:48 PM

Use an HTML canvas to draw the frames of the gif and define clickable areas and mouse pointer with javascript.
