Pity it hasn't functioned for decades.

To function properly the opposition has to examine what the ruling party does and decide why it's good or bad, then come up with alternatives or amendments. Not decide it's bad because it came from the other side.

Neither side should be influenced by big money donors or an outside influence like the EU.

It should cooperate on committees to examine situations and resolve them together. Without ideology kicking in. Or lobbyists paid for by private individuals or corperations.

The US doesn't rule the Internet. To cut off porn it would have to pull the plug. Whether they decide to prosecute some American Companies or person who push the boundaries. That could happen and that's up to the individual pushing the boundaries for financial benefit.

This comes around every election and after every election, porn goes on as normal.
