You think I am being dumb but let me explain.

I have a wordpress site.
I use it with pages for a business website contact / about / shop etc
I also sometimes post posts about current events which I thought would be blog posts but the url is simply site.com/recent-post not site.com/blog/recent post

So, I was doing a site analysis and it said I needed a blog. so that's why I am asking.

How do I get my posts to be blog posts?

They are blog posts - You don't need to have /blog/ in the address - You can do it if you really want with the permalink structure - But it's a little beyond newbie level and not necessary...

Google knows what they are.....
