What do you call a promise of donations to the Secretary's foundation in exchange for her presence? Ok let's call it selling access? "She created this mess and she knows it" Do you know what she's referring to? This email is after she got caught in "pay to play" or "selling access" and they are trying to figure out how they can get out of the deal after they already accepted the funds because they don't want it to appear that way.

They were discussing on how to back out of the deal. Which they did. Why is it a mess if there's nothing to it? Did you even read the Politico article? Everyone knew she was going to run for President.. Ok she wasn't Secretary at the time but she had been doing this for years including as Secretary.

She was a civilian pegged by most to be the next POTUS. If you ask HRC, all her adulthood has been spent in "public service".

It is possible this is just a benign email, and that hosting a CGI conference is a pretty big deal. Just really odd that if she didnt attend they wanted no part in the meetings. The whole thing, every detail, reeks of influence peddling. Maybe my biased mindset because I think she is a power hungry, greedy piece of dried up self important human debris.

Why do you think Haliburton paid Dick Cheney all that money to come work for them when the first Bush lost his re-election bid and Cheney was no longer Sec. Defense? They did it because they are a defense contractor and he had tons of contacts and influence in Washington.

It happens constantly. If you are a high ranking government official and you leave office the odds are you will be offered a lot of money by a lot of companies to come work for them. They are paying these people for access.

I get what you're saying. But I would feel the same way if cheney was running instead of clinton. He would not get my vote either. For some naive reason I want my president to be above that. For some reason I just feel like $12mil for one meeting goes a little beyond what an expowerful government employee would make and more in line with buying a future president's favor. Again, I may be really naive and it is ok for someone with POTUS aspirations to be selling their time this way. I think we all know that after Obama ran his course she was next in line. I am sure the Moroccan King had heard there might be a chance someone could talk her into running in 2016.

First I wanted to write that I doubt she would be able to start another useless three trillion dollar war in order to fill the pockets of Halliburton and other military complex cronies. and that the national budget wouldn't be able to sustain it.

But then I just realized what was the current "administration" able to achieve in the Middle East during the past couple of years, including record sales to their Islamofascist "allies" Saudi Arabia and Quatar (both heavy Clinton foundation donors incl. financial birthday gifts in millions of dollars etc.).
