Why Slovakia? Have you been to the other countries in the region?

There are at least a half dozen members of GFY that I am might offend here, but such is life ...

Don't make Bratislava your destination but instead a stop over.
You can see everything you need in the city center literally in one day. If you happen to love hiking and skiing, you can travel east towards Poland and Ukraine, and stay a couple days in the Tatras.

Much much more to see and do in Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic.

I was based in Bratislava for two years a few years back. :2 cents:

forest, mountains, some gypsies communities and good looking girls, thats what you may find there.

tip: you may find good looking girls everywhere in europe

Was there years ago and was not impressed by the food, not sure if and how they have changed since then - it is very expensive though. Go to the bar for the view and then try one of the restaurants on Hivezdoslav square- RIO is my favorite one.

Or if you want the best one though expensive:
Fou Zoo - Changes your view on art

..or literally the TOP one, also my favorite
Altitude Restaurant | Najvy??í zá?itok

enjoy :winkwink:

We live very close to Slovakia and go there quite a bit. Not that great. Far more interesting places nearby. Austria, Czech, Poland, Hungary.

I personally love Slovakia, I thought Bratislava was awesome :2 cents: But then again, I'm from the region and find the Balkans and Eastern Europe endlessly fascinating

I'd add some points to the list:

Poland is awesome but lacks the Sun light, Hungarian language is so fake you can't relate a word, Austria is so "quadratish" it's next to the robotic, CZ is very Soviet, and SK is just a porn neighborhood next to Vienna...

With that being pointed out, and of course, there are PROs about all those countries too, I would never go beyond the mountains and stayed in Italy.
