The keyword is annex and Russia generally doesn't attack or invade non-neighbouring states which indicates that its concerns are for its own regional sovereignty and stability. I say generally because the basis of comparison is the United states which has initiated many, many wars over the years and has probably started many more that we don't know about.

However, if pushed Russia will become the enemy that western people are falsely brainwashed into thinking it is right now. The media tells people (like you) what to think and you follow like a dog on a leash.
