Uber.
You think you just register with them, pick up your clients, cash in and get out with that all?
Fuck no. In EU Uber drivers are being hunted and caught for MANY law breaking reasons. How does it work in USA? Are you an Uber driver yourself? |
the very best an uber drive can make is $500 per week is what I'm told by top drivers.

Overall Uber is awesome and I will take an Uber any day over a taxi if I can :2 cents: |

I'd say in Europe the safest bet is using an official cab. |
New Job?
Uber will completely replace taxis within a few years, save a few exceptions. People were nervous about Uber when it first launched here for safety reasons (Mostly the cab companies pushed this narrative) , but beyond a few exceptions the service has been extremely safe. The companies value speaks volumes. |

Taxi mafia? Yes, if you land in an airport you may get wrapped into something unpleasant if you are looking for cheap deals - take an official cab. But locally, in your town, just call your local cab co - I do that. I do see same drivers many times even. I was once concerned landing in Amsterdam, yes, muslim cab mafia made me eek. So again, what is this SAFETY slogan about Uber? |
Quote:
This was last month.. True story.. Would never happen with Uber. And I got hundreds of other examples (not only from Amsterdam) And yes, they're all official. Since you need to have different license plates if you drive Taxi. Otherwise the police will take you off the streets within minutes. |
Uber is great. Obsolete industries mad!

Do you know, applicable to Holland or any other country where Uber is up ( Austria, Germany or say CZ ), if drivers have to register individual business to work with Uber? I mean they would be getting income they would have to report. Anything like that in USA/Canada? |

Uber is efficient. You get a bad driver, you rate him badly and leave a comment, you hurt his bottom line directly and force them to shape up or get out of being an Uber driver. Billing me straight to my CC and emailing me receipts is another huge advantage. |

There is another 'movement' like Eating With Locals, so you choose your place, your cook and join a food theme of your choice as a cook or as a eater - contrary to Uber they are MORE EXPENSIVE than an average diner. Where is the trick? Anyone gets poisoned - who's responsible? Same about Uber? Who's responsible? Is anyone insured? |
Sid does stuff

Ride sharing is Uber's short term game. Having fleets of driverless cars is the goal which put all taxis completely under and also make it much more pointless even owning a car

I don't know how uber this days in different parts of Europe these days but in the US it slid down the evolution ladder. My very first uber ride was in Paris. Guy came to pick us up in Mercedes, drove us to downtown to our hotel and we sued his on our return trip as well. Ride was 20 euros cheaper than cab. Used it in Miami airport again and driver was driving Cadillac Escalade. Few weeks ago I used Uber and 5 feet tall ex-convict looking guy in wife beater shirt drove up in Ford Firebird. Had tools in his trunk, "suck on this" tattoo and had very heavy Alabama jive. I'm going to try Lyft during our Thanksgiving trip.

I love taking Ubers and then farting and then I accuse them of doing it.
I also love leaving used condoms on the floor in the back set...filled with hand lotion! Uber's are great fun, I tell the driver that my Porsche is in the shop but their Toyota is "nice." |

A friend of mine started driving for Uber about two months ago. He only drives a few days a week and makes about $350-$500 per week. That is for about 15 hours a week.
My understanding is that earning depend a lot on when you work, what days you work, and where you work. He lives in an area where there aren't many other uber drivers and taxies are expensive so it is in demand. |

You, and pretty much all of us never paid for porn, of course it's our job, we have access to hundreds of members areas thru friends & partnerships (just like anybody have some perks related to their jobs, no matter what), but the regular Joe Shmoe who don't want to care about pops ads, viruses, want higher quality, whatever, will at some point pay for his porn (which is a good thing btw, otherwise we'd be ALL out of jobs here). THEY are the ones who put money in our commune $$ ... Kenny told me something very clever once : Even with all the free water from the faucet, people still buy bottled water... :2 cents::upsidedow:thumbsup Back to Uber, everytime I used it, I had ONLY great experiences (here Mtl, EU, US), maybe because Cabs in Mtl are kinda bad, but so far, yeah I,d choose Uber before any angry cab driver :) |
Uber rocks. About 50% less to take uber then a taxi, if you do multiple pickup it's like 30% of taxi.
|
I'll cut right through all the crap and say it like it is...
I don't use taxis OR Uber because I hate : 1) Paying some asshole that can't be bothered to learn the city but instead depends on GPS to tell him where to go. 2) Slob drivers that don't have an official uniform 3) Slob drivers don't hold the door open for me. (important at my age) 4) Pakistani, Hindu, African, etc. immigrant drivers. 5) Slob drivers that never bothered to learn how to drive. I'll stick to driving my car and because of the construction nightmere going on in Montreal I'll often take my bike if I have to go into the city center. |

I use Uber all the time, its awesome. RIP Taxis

Works for me, good for traveling cuz there's no chance to get ripped off. But once a very talkative driver invited me for dinner. I found it very strange. It isn't a dating service, is it?😂

As for the rest, I don't care what the job is I only pay professionals and this includes drivers. I would rather carry my suitcases from the airport and come home on a bus before I give a nickle to some GPS using twat wearing jeans. |
My friends in the U.S. that can't get real jobs drive for Uber.
|
I use Uber all the time. I've had 3 drivers where the car wreaked of cigarette smoke and about 5 times where the driver was texting and driving (I HATE that).
Otherwise it's been great. No problems, no violence. I got a tip that best times are morning because its business people in a rush to go to airport. Weekend and nights is when you get the drunks who vomit in your car. I always give a cash tip and have a 4.95 rating :batman |
in Poland they have to have registered company too
