why is NBC assuming trump already lost? objectively speaking, the race is too close to call.

in fact, read every liberal media rag & all of them assume a hilary win. are they not aware north carolina, florida, michigan, new hampshire, are but a few states that are too close to call?

Personally, even though I've always been in the Clinton camp, I agree with him that instead of hurting those people, we should try to reach out to them. The alternative is civil war within 20 years, which I unfortunately think is inevitable. Even if it is bloodless, so to speak, the result will be catastrophic.

People who deride them as racists and hillbillies, etc, are actually the racists themselves.

The principle of vigorous debate, and of being swayed by a logical argument, is nearly dead.

If HRC wins, she'll face a divided country stuck in the mud. I think that is best until we learn to work together again.

Your country has been divided since Bill Clinton left office, so saying its just starting is just ridiculous. Every day since we could speak older people have been saying 'the days of logic and common sense are long gone!' It is never true, it's just you have gotten older and see things in a different light now. As i have said to others, step back, get a grip and realize that this election is a battle of two people with almost identical plans. Other than a few outlandish claims that will never happen they are the same person. Since that is true, nothing new will happen, no new changes will go forward and your life will continue as it has... Revolutions are for the starving, not for the irked... Last i checked food is still pennies by the pound where you live.

Here's what I believe. As long as even one person in a hundred is reachable, you try. You don't negatively label ANY group ANY time and you try. You may not believe that, but you are intelligent too and I fail to see how an intelligent person can make blanket stereotyping a part of their life. Further, choosing not to employ racism and stereotyping do not in any way condone or "white wash" racism. I won't call you stupid because I know you aren't but let us say the lack of logic in that statement is uncharacteristic of you.

I have also had to defend myself on this board fairly frequently and I believe I've been consistent and clear. You do not create long term strength by fostering divisiveness. You do not create long term prosperity by encouraging isolation. And my friend, creating an "other" out of half of the US is exactly what that is.
