LANDSLIDE: Trump 306 Electoral Votes vs 233 Clinton Electoral Votes - The Geller Report

johnnyloadproductions 11-09-2016 04:47 PM

I just happen to be in 1 of the 6 counties that was democratic, the rest of the 99 were all Trump.

I've never seen people act so irrational on Facebook, people will believe anything if it fits their agenda.

Some states aren't called yet...

johnnyloadproductions 11-09-2016 04:52 PM

I'll also add that the places that were democratic are where large universities are.

In Ames, Iowa State University has record enrollment, the population more than doubles when students get here, and of course young people more likely like Clinton.

Des Moines is trying to cater to young professionals, city looks great and is only getting better.

Not really a landslide per se. He won a lot of the battleground states by 1-2 points and he lost the popular vote.

He won. It was a decisive win. But to me, it's not a landslide.

Disagree.

It absolutely was a landslide. For the past 18 months the world has said he has no chance in hell of winning. That is all we have heard for the last 18 months. No chance in hell.

Every other candidate was so terrible that he somehow won.

Landslide.

woj 11-09-2016 05:19 PM

she got owned... wasn't even close... even more amusing after all the "he has no chance", "her ads are running 24/7", "she has better ground game", "not possible to win after pissing off minorities/women/etc", "he will be lucky to get 1-2 swing states tops"... etc... :1orglaugh

The definition of landslide is: an overwhelming majority of votes for one party in an election.

That didn't happen here.

He won Michigan by .3%
He won Wisconsin by 1%
He won Pennsylvania by 1.2%

If those three states go the other direction, Hillary wins. She also won the popular vote.

I'm sorry, you can be happy that Trump has won. And yes, nobody gave him a chance of winning, but winning by 2.5% and losing the popular vote is no landslide.

When you have 30 years of political experience and get beat by Trump who has Zero you just been landslided even if he won by 1 electoral vote. Her pathetic ass should be embarassed. :2 cents:

DNC, RNC, and every media person in the world should be so embarrassed they don't want to leave their home this morning.

Pitiful.

Hillary Clinton was the best New York Yankees team, ever. Donald Trump was the worst Chicago Cubs team, ever.

She should be embarrassed. The Democrats should be embarrassed. Bernie should be president.

None of that makes this a landslide.

But, there is no sense in arguing over the meaning a word. If it makes you feel better to think Trump won with a landslide, fine.

Just the point with media bashing, polls etc... he was so underrated to achieve what he did is pretty impressive. So yes I'll petition merriam webster to change the definition of landslide to= see: Trump Nation 2016 :winkwink:

I voted Trump and figured probably not a chance, was very surprised with the results.

The final tally was my prediction, but flipped.

This electoral map is a story of red counties beating blue metro areas.

I wonder what kind of an ass chewing Hillary's people got last night and/or today. When I was watching the results they said Hillary pretty much ignored Michigan and Wisconsin because she assumed she was well ahead there. Clearly someone had bad information.

Agree... as the other guy said, this was a "decisive win" and that's the best way to describe it. You could say "very decisive win" and if using the word "very" clarifies the point well hey, do it but its not gonna change the world.

It puts the establishment, media, polls etc to shame and ridicule.

her campaign believed the shit they were peddling. the oversampling of democrats in the polls, the constant barrage of propaganda spewed by their minions in the media, the underestimation of the clinton "baggage", obama care tanking at the worst possible time. the only person on their side who could see what was happening was mike moore. i dont agree with much he believes in but he is not stupid. anyone who has not seen his tirade needs to check it out. he maps the reasons perfectly but I think(hope) he misses with his conclusion.

Hilary's image is mostly created by propaganda. That's FOX news and all of the hundreds of conservative blogs, radio/TV shows etc. There's a large segment of the population who thinks she should be in jail because someone told them that.

Yeah, because he shouldn't have won.. It was an upset. This is why bets were set at 3 to 1 against. He wasn't qualified for the job then and probably shouldn't have gotten elected, but he did. Just because he beat the odds doesn't mean it wasn't close, he lost the popular vote--there is no landslide with that.

306 to 233 is not "close"... Hillary would have had to win multiple additional states in order to win... so it's not like he just got lucky in Florida or something, he crushed her even in states where she had 5%+ lead in pre-election polls... :2 cents:

2000 elections were "close":
George W. Bush Republican Dick Cheney 271
Al Gore Democratic Joe Lieberman 266

as were 2004:
George W. Bush Republican Dick Cheney 286
John Kerry Democratic John Edwards 251

306 to 233 in 2016 was not...:thumbsup

apparently 230k more people voted for hillary than trump but because of the whole electoral votes thing she still lost. so technically more people wanted hillary president than trump.

Guess old Hillary was right, Trump was the Russian puppet.Of course the Russians backpedal alittle.
Russia Says It Was In Touch With Trump Campaign During The Election | Huffington Post
MOSCOW, Nov 10 (Reuters) - The Russian government was in touch with members of President-elect Donald Trump?s campaign staff during the U.S. election campaign, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told the Interfax news agency on Thursday.

?There were contacts,? Interfax cited Ryabkov as saying. He did not give details.

When asked whether these contacts would now intensify after Trump?s election victory, Ryabkov said: ?These working moments and follow-up on this or that matter will depend on the situation and the questions which face us. But we will of course continue this work after the elections.?

Defeated Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton accused Trump of being a ?puppet? of President Vladimir Putin during the campaign, and U.S. officials said Russia had hacked into Democratic party emails, something Moscow denied.

Trump has said he might meet Putin before his inauguration, but Putin?s spokesman has said there are currently no plans for such a meeting.

The Russian parliament erupted in applause on Wednesday when it heard that Trump had been elected and Putin told foreign ambassadors he was ready to fully restore ties with Washington.

Ryabkov was more circumspect in his interview, saying the Russian Foreign Ministry felt no euphoria about the Republican?s win even though it wanted to normalize relations with Washington.

Ryabkov said Trump?s allies had made some tough statements about Russia during the campaign and that his ministry was therefore not harboring any rose-tinted hopes.

?We are not expecting anything in particular from the new U.S. administration,? Interfax cited Ryabkov as saying.
